Abstract

A method of sharing data stored in a mobile terminal is provided. The method includes sensing a user'"'"'s gesture requesting a share panel, and causing the share panel including a list of identification information of one or more external devices to appear from a side of a screen and then displaying the share panel at the side of the screen, according to the user'"'"'s gesture requesting the share panel.

Claims

1. A method of sharing data, performed by a mobile terminal, the method comprising:

sensing a user'"'"'s gesture requesting a share panel; and

causing the share panel, which includes a list of identification information of one or more external devices, to appear from a side of a screen and then displaying the share panel at the side of the screen, according to the user'"'"'s gesture requesting the share panel.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

sensing a gesture requesting additional information about the share panel, which is displayed at the side of the screen; and

expanding the share panel toward the inside of the screen and then displaying the share panel, according to the gesture requesting additional information,

wherein the expanded and displayed share panel displays the identification information of the one or more external devices.

3. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

sensing a first gesture of selecting identification information of at least one external device included in the displayed share panel; and

transmitting shared data to the at least one external device corresponding to the first gesture of selecting the identification information.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the share panel comprises a thumbnail image corresponding to the identification information of the one or more external devices.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the gesture requesting the share panel comprises a gesture of flicking made from a predetermined location in an edge region of the screen toward the inside of the screen.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the identification information of the one or more external devices comprises at least one from among user identification information, group identification information, server identification information, and identifiers of the one or more external devices.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the share panel comprises a list of telephone numbers and a list of Social Networking Services (SNSs).

8. The method of claim 3, wherein the transmitting of the shared data to the at least one external device comprises:

selecting an application for transmitting the shared data, based on the identification information of the at least one external device corresponding to the first gesture of selecting the identification information;

executing the selected application; and

transmitting the shared data to the at least one external device corresponding to the first gesture of selecting the identification information by using the executed application.

9. The method of claim 3, wherein the displaying of the share panel comprises:

sensing the user'"'"'s gesture requesting the share panel while an application is executing; and

displaying the share panel at the side of the screen while the application is executing, according to the gesture requesting the share panel.

10. The method of claim 9, further comprising:

obtaining capture data including an image and meta data corresponding to the executed application; and

transmitting the capture data to the at least one external device corresponding to the first gesture of selecting the identification information.

The method of claim 1, wherein the list of identification information of the one or more external devices included in the share panel is arranged based on at least one from among a communication time, a number of times of establishing communication, and a distance between the mobile terminal and the one or more external devices.

12. The method of claim 1, wherein the gesture requesting the share panel comprises sensing a user'"'"'s gesture requesting the mobile terminal to capture at least one content, and

wherein the displaying of the share panel at a side of the screen comprises:

displaying capture data including an image and meta data related to the at least one content in a first region of the screen, according to the user'"'"'s gesture requesting the mobile terminal to capture at least one content; and

displaying the share panel in a second region which is at the side of the screen.

13. The method of claim 12, further comprising:

sensing a drag-and-drop gesture performed from the first region to the second region; and

transmitting the capture data displayed in the first region to an external device corresponding to a location in the second region onto which the dropping is performed.

14. The method of claim 12, further comprising:

sensing a gesture of tapping identification information of at least one external device included in the share panel; and

transmitting the capture data displayed in the first region to the at least one external device corresponding to the gesture of tapping.

15. The method of claim 3, wherein the transmitting of the shared data comprises:

sensing a user'"'"'s gesture requesting a capture panel;

displaying the capture panel including a list of capture data at another side of the screen, according to the gesture requesting a capture panel;

sensing a second gesture of selecting at least one piece of capture data included in the capture panel; and

transmitting the at least one piece of capture data corresponding to the second gesture of selecting the at least one piece of capture data to the at least one external device corresponding to the first gesture of selecting the identification information.

16. The method of claim 1, wherein the sensing of the gesture requesting the share panel comprises sensing a user'"'"'s gesture requesting the mobile terminal to capture at least one content, and

wherein the displaying of the share panel comprises:

displaying capture data including an image and meta data related to the at least one content in a first region of the screen, according to the gesture requesting the mobile terminal to capture at least one content;

displaying the share panel in a second region of the screen; and

displaying a capture panel to which the capture data is added, in a third region of the screen.

17. The method of claim 16, wherein the first region is located within a predetermined distance from a center of the screen, the second region is located at one side of the screen, and the third region is displayed at another side of the screen.

35. A non-transitory computer readable recording medium having recorded thereon a computer program for executing the method of claim 1.

18. A mobile terminal comprising:

a sensing unit for sensing a user'"'"'s gesture requesting a share panel;

a display unit for causing the share panel including a list of identification information of one or more external devices to appear from a side of a screen and then for displaying the share panel at the side of the screen, according to the user'"'"'s gesture requesting the share panel; and

a controller for controlling the sensing unit and the display unit.

19. The mobile terminal of claim 18, wherein the sensing unit senses a gesture requesting additional information about the share panel, which is displayed at the side of the screen, and

wherein the display unit expands the share panel toward the inside of the screen and displays the share panel, and displays the identification information of the one or more external devices in the expanded share panel, according to the gesture requesting the additional information.

20. The mobile terminal of claim 18, further comprising, when a first gesture of selecting identification information of at least one external device included in the displayed share panel is sensed, a communication unit for transmitting shared data to the at least one external device corresponding to the first gesture of selecting the identification information.

21. The mobile terminal of claim 18, wherein the share panel comprises thumbnail images corresponding to the identification information of the one or more external devices.

22. The mobile terminal of claim 18, wherein the gesture requesting the share panel comprises a gesture of flicking made from a predetermined location in an edge region of the screen toward the inside of the screen.

23. The mobile terminal of claim 18, wherein the identification information of the one or more external devices comprises at least one from among user identification information, group identification information, server identification information, and identifiers of the one or more external devices.

24. The mobile terminal of claim 18, wherein the share panel comprises a list of telephone numbers and a list of Social Networking Services (SNSs).

The mobile terminal of claim 20, wherein the controller selects an application for transmitting the shared data, based on the identification information of the at least one external device corresponding to the first gesture of selecting the identification information, and executes the selected application, and

wherein the communication unit transmits the shared data to the at least one external device corresponding to the first gesture of selecting the identification information by using the executed application.

26. The mobile terminal of claim 21, wherein the sensing unit senses the user'"'"'s gesture requesting the share panel while an application is executing, and

wherein the display unit displays the share panel at a side of the screen while the application is executing, according to the user'"'"'s gesture requesting the share panel.

27. The mobile terminal of claim 26, further comprising a capturing unit for obtaining capture data including an image and meta data corresponding to the executed application,

wherein the communication unit transmits the capture data to the at least one external device corresponding to the first gesture of selecting the identification information.

The mobile terminal of claim 18, wherein the controller arranges the list of identification information of the one or more external devices included in the share panel, based on at least one from among a communication time, a number of times communication is established, and a distance between the mobile terminal and the one or more external devices.

29. The mobile terminal of claim 18, wherein the sensing unit senses a user'"'"'s gesture requesting the mobile terminal to capture at least one content, and

wherein the display unit displays capture data including an image and meta data related to the at least one content in a first region of the screen, according to the user'"'"'s gesture requesting the mobile terminal to capture at least one content, and displays the share panel in a second region which is at the side of the screen.

The mobile terminal of claim 29, when a drag-and-drop gesture performed from the first region to the second region is sensed, further comprising a communication unit for transmitting the capture data displayed in the first region to an external device corresponding to a location in the second region onto which the dropping is performed.

The mobile terminal of claim 29, when a gesture of tapping identification information of at least one external device included in the share panel is sensed, further comprising a communication unit for transmitting the capture data displayed in the first region to the at least one external device corresponding to the gesture of tapping.

32. The mobile terminal of claim 20, wherein the sensing unit senses a user'"'"'s gesture requesting a capture panel, and a second gesture of selecting at least one piece of capture data included in the capture panel,

wherein the display unit displays the capture panel including a list of capture data at another side of the screen, according to the gesture requesting the capture panel, and

wherein the communication unit transmits the at least one piece of capture data corresponding to the second gesture of selecting the at least one piece of capture data to the at least one external device corresponding to the first gesture of selecting the identification information.

33. The mobile terminal of claim 18, wherein the sensing unit senses a user'"'"'s gesture requesting the mobile terminal to capture at least one content, and

wherein the display unit displays capture data including an image and meta data related to the at least one content in a first region of the screen, according to the gesture requesting the mobile terminal to capture at least one content, displays the share panel in a second region of the screen, and displays a capture panel to which the capture data is added, in a third region of the screen.

34. The mobile terminal of claim 33, wherein the first region is located within a predetermined distance from a center of the screen, the second region is located at one side of the screen, and the third region is displayed at another side of the screen.
