1. A method of remotely monitoring a cardiac condition of an individual using electrocardiogram equipment connected to the individual, comprising:
- establishing a two-way communication between the electrocardiogram equipment located at a first location and a remote monitoring center located at a second location different than the first location, the two way communication allowing requests and data to be reciprocally communicated between the electrocardiogram equipment at the first location and the monitoring center at the second location; and
transmitting a monitoring request from the remote monitoring center to the first location to automatically trigger a monitoring action by the electrocardiogram equipment or to automatically trigger the sending of data from the electrocardiogram equipment to the second location relating to the cardiac condition of the individual.

Abstract
A method, a system and an apparatus for remotely monitoring a cardiac condition in an individual in which there is provided a non-invasive, mobile and portable solution including hardware, software, and a back-office application allowing an autonomous and smart remote monitoring. Two-way communication is provided between the cardiac monitoring apparatus and a monitoring center, which allows sending of data of the patient being monitored to the monitoring center, as well as allowing the monitoring center or a clinician to request a new exam on demand.
