Abstract

According to one embodiment, a method of controlling an electric device is described, where the electronic device comprises a tuner, an OSD-controller, a net connection module, and an initial setup module for setting a menu language of the display menu. The method comprises associating setup information to information to be transported to the server. Thereafter, the method comprises accessing the world wide web server through a net connection module by using the information associated with the setup information; selecting content of one of languages from a set of content of various languages stored in the world wide web server, wherein the one of languages is the same language with that of the display menu; and displaying content delivered from the world wide web server.

Claims

1. An electric device comprising:

a tuner for receiving and decoding a digital broadcasting signal;

an OSD-controller for controlling an output of a display menu;

a net connection module for connecting the electric device to a world wide web server;

an initial setup module for setting a menu language of the display menu by setup information;

a setup information association process module configured to associate the setup information to information to be transported to the server;

a network control module for accessing the world wide web server through a net connection module by using the information associated with the set up information;

a language content selection module configured to select content of one of languages from a set of content of various languages stored in the world wide web server, wherein the one of languages is the same language with that of the display menu; and

a browser function control module for displaying content delivered from the world wide web server.

2. The electric device of claim 1 further comprising:

a remote control command process module for reflecting a user operation input on the electric device, wherein the user operation determines a menu language when the user places a cursor being at a selected language indication among menu languages on the display menu and presses an enter button.

3. The electric device of claim 1, wherein

the information is configured to cause the world wide web server to deliver content in the set menu language.

4. The electric device of claim 1, wherein the information includes a language request signal.

5. A method of controlling an electric device, the electric device comprising:

a tuner for receiving and decoding a digital broadcasting signal, an OSD-controller for controlling an output of a display menu, a net connection module for connecting the electric device to a world wide web server, and an initial setup module for setting a menu language of the display menu, the method characterized by comprising;

associating the setup information to information to be transported to the server;

accessing the world wide web server through a net connection module by using the information associated with the setup information;

selecting content of one of languages from a set of content of various languages stored in the world wide web server, wherein the one of languages is the same language with that of the display menu; and

displaying content delivered from the world wide web server.

6. The method of controlling the electric device of claim 5, further comprising:

reflecting a user operation input on the electric device, wherein the user operation determines a menu language when the user places a cursor being at a selected language indication among menu languages on the display menu and presses an enter button.

7. The method of controlling the electric device of claim 5, wherein the information is configured to cause the world wide web server to deliver content in the set menu language.

8. The method of controlling the electric device of claim 5, wherein the information includes a language request signal.

9. A method of controlling an electric device, comprising:

receiving and decoding a digital broadcasting signal;

controlling an output of a display menu;

connecting the electric device to a server;

setting a menu language of the display menu, the setting of the menu language of the display menu comprises

associating setup information to information to be transported to the server,

accessing the server through a net connection module by using information associated with the setup information,

selecting content of one of languages from a set of content of various languages stored in the server, wherein the one of languages is the same language with that of the display menu, and

displaying content delivered from the server.

10. The method of controlling the electric device of claim 9, further comprising:

reflecting a user operation input on the electric device, wherein the user operation determines a menu language when the user places a cursor being at a selected language indication among menu languages on the display menu and presses an enter button.

11. The method of controlling the electric device of claim 9, wherein the information is configured to cause the server to deliver content in the set menu language.

12. The method of controlling the electric device of claim 9, wherein the information includes a language request signal.
