Abstract

An automated method adapted to allow sharing of information among a set of users is described. The method includes: performing a user sign up operation for each particular user in the set of users; generating a graphic code and an exchange uniform resource locator (URL) associated with each particular user; and providing a web page accessible at the URL. An automated method adapted to perform multi-directional sharing among a set of users is also described. The method includes: scanning a graphic code using a user device associated with a particular user; navigating to a uniform resource locator (URL) based at least partly on information received by scanning the graphic code; and sending a first set of information fields associated with the particular user to a user associated with the graphic code. An application may include: a camera interaction module; a processing module; and a communication module.

Claims

1. An automated method adapted to perform multi-directional sharing among a set of users, the method comprising:

scanning a graphic code using a user device associated with a particular user;

navigating to a uniform resource locator (URL) based at least partly on information received by scanning the graphic code; and

sending a first set of information fields associated with the particular user to a user associated with the graphic code.

2. The automated method of claim 1 further comprising receiving a second set of information fields associated with the user associated with the graphic code.

3. The automated method of claim 2, wherein each of the first and second sets of information fields comprises contact information.

4. The automated method of claim 3, wherein the first set of information fields comprises all available fields associated with the particular user.

5. The automated method of claim 4, wherein the second set of information fields comprises a sub-set of available fields associated with the user associated with the graphic code.

6. The automated method of claim 1 further comprising executing a script associated with the URL.

7. The automated method of claim 1, wherein the graphic code is a bar matrix code.

8. A user device application adapted to allow a user to initiate a multi-directional transfer of information, the application comprising:

a camera interaction module adapted to control a camera associated with the user device in order to scan a graphic code;

a processing module adapted to analyze the scanned graphic code and determine a uniform resource locator (URL) embedded within the graphic code; and

a communication module adapted to navigate to the URL across one or more networks.

9. The user device application of claim 8, wherein the communication module is further adapted to send contact information associated with the user to an entity associated with the URL.

10. The user device application of claim 9, wherein the communication module is further adapted to receive contact information associated with the entity.

11. The user device application of claim 10 further comprising a user interface module adapted to present the contact information associated with the entity to the user.

12. The user device application of claim 10 further comprising an application interface module adapted to communicate with a 3^rd-party application in order to send contact information associated with the user.

13. The user device application of claim 12, wherein the application interface module is further adapted to receive information associated with the entity.

14. The user device application of claim 8, wherein the graphic code is a bar matrix code.

15. An automated method adapted to allow sharing of information among a set of users, the method comprising:

performing a user sign up operation for each particular user in the set of users;

generating a graphic code and an exchange uniform resource locator (URL) associated with each particular user; and

providing a web page accessible at the URL.

16. The automated method of claim 15, wherein the URL comprises a first name, last name, and user identification (UID) associated with the particular user.

17. The automated method of claim 16, wherein the UID comprises a unique string of digits that is not based on any data associated with the particular user.

18. The automated method of claim 17, wherein the unique string of digits is sequentially generated.

19. The automated method of claim 15, further comprising storing a cookie to a user device associated with each particular user.

20. The automated method of claim 15, wherein the graphic code is a bar matrix code.
