An aspect of the present invention provides an RFID reader/writer in which a null point is not generated. The RFID reader/writer includes an RFID tag and an RFID reader/writer. The RFID reader/writer and the RFID tag conduct communication with each other while an antenna of the RFID reader/writer and an antenna of the RFID tag are slanted.

an RFID tag; and an RFID reader/writer, wherein the RFID tag and the RFID reader/writer communicate with each other, wherein the RFID reader/writer includes an antenna that transmits and receives a linearly-polarized radio wave having a polarization plane slanted at a predetermined angle with respect to a reflecting surface, an antenna of the RFID tag is disposed so as to have a polarization plane identical to the polarization plane of the radio wave, and the antenna of the RFID tag receives and responds to the radio wave emitted from the antenna of the RFID reader/writer.
