Abstract

A system relates to a first communication device configured to present data to and/or receive data from a health care practitioner; a second communication device configured to present data to and/or receive data from a patient; a processor configured to determine values of one or more metrics that characterize the patient'"'"'s mental state based data received from the patient via the second communication device; a storage configured to store the metrics. Another system for providing tactile and/or electrical stimuli remotely, the system comprising a body-suit to be worn by a human, the body-suit comprising one or more actuators configured to convert electrical signals to tactile and/or stimuli, wherein the body-suit is configured to convey the tactile and/or electrical stimuli to a body part of the human.

Claims

1. A system comprising:

a first communication device configured to present data to and/or receive data from a health care practitioner;

a second communication device configured to present data to and/or receive data from a patient that is a human or an animal;

a processor configured to determine values of one or more metrics that characterize the patient'"'"'s mental state based data received from the patient via the second communication device;

a storage configured to store the metrics.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein the storage is configured to store long term health data of the patient.

3. The system of claim 1, wherein the storage is configured to store short term health data of the patient.

4. The system of claim 1, wherein the data received from the patient comprise a video.

5. The system of claim 1, wherein the data received from the patient comprise a sound.

6. The system of claim 1, wherein the data received from the patient comprise a drawing or handwriting.

7. The system of claim 1, wherein the data received from the patient comprise communication from the patient to another patient.

8. The system of claim 1, wherein the data received from the patient comprise physical characteristics measured from the patient in real-time.

9. The system of claim 1, wherein the data received from the patient comprise the patient'"'"'s facial expression.

10. The system of claim 1, wherein the data received from the patient comprise the patient'"'"'s pupillary dilation.

11. The system of claim 1, wherein the data received from the patient comprise the patient'"'"'s performance in a game.

12. The system of claim 1, wherein the storage comprises a knowledge base.

13. A method of diagnosing a patient, the method comprising:

collecting data conveying information about symptoms experienced by the patient that is a human or an animal;

storing the data conveying information about symptoms in a database on a virtual communication platform;

generating keywords conveying symptoms experienced by the patient; and

performing a federated search to obtain a diagnosis of the patient'"'"'s disease condition,

wherein a federated search comprises searching through a database compiled on the virtual communication platform correlating symptoms to disease conditions obtained from a virtual communication platform.

14. The method of claim 13, wherein the keywords are generated using data collected from the virtual communication platform.

15. The method of claim 13, further comprising monitoring vital signs of the patient over a pre-determined period of time following the diagnosis, and logging the data on the virtual communication platform.

16. The method of claim 15, wherein the vital signs comprise one or more of height, weight, heart-rate, variation in heart-rate, blood glucose level, and blood pressure.

17. A system for providing tactile and/or electrical stimuli remotely, the system comprising:

a body-suit to be worn by a human or animal, the body-suit comprising one or more actuators configured to convert electrical signals to tactile and/or electrical stimuli,

wherein the body-suit is configured to convey the tactile and/or electrical stimuli to a body part of the human;

a model replica of the body-suit configured to receive tactile stimuli from a human or animal and convert the tactile stimuli into electrical signals capable of being parsed by a computer,

wherein the model replica is available at a location remote from the patient,

wherein the model replica and the body-suit are connected over a network configured to convey the electrical signals from the model-replica to the body-suit.

18. The system of claim 17, wherein the body-suit is configured to cover one or more of arms, torso, neck, throat, legs, hands and feet of the human or animal.

19. The system of claim 17, wherein the body-suit and the model replica each are connected to one or more computers.

20. The system of claim 17, wherein the body-suit is configured to replicate tactile stimuli received by the model replica and convey the tactile stimuli to the human or animal.
