Abstract

A power saving system comprising a visual monitoring system locating a user, a first end of a link coupled to a first transceiver, a second end of the link coupled to a second transceiver, a component coupled to the first transceiver and the visual monitoring system locates the user being beyond a distance to access the component, whereby the link is deactivated and an overall power usage of the link is minimized. The link is activated when the visual monitoring system locates the user being within the distance to access the component.

Claims

1. A power saving system comprising:

a visual monitoring system locating a user;

a first end of a link coupled to a first transceiver;

a second end of the link coupled to a second transceiver;

a component coupled to the first transceiver; and

the visual monitoring system locates the user being beyond a distance to access the component, whereby the link is deactivated.

2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein

the component is decoupled from the second transceiver.

3. The apparatus of claim 1, further comprising:

electronics incorporated in at least one integrated circuit is powered down.

4. The apparatus of claim 3, wherein

an overall power usage of the link is minimized.

5. The apparatus of claim 1, further comprising:

a processor coupled to the second end of the link.

6. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein

the link is activated when the visual monitoring system locates the user being within the distance to access the component.

7. The apparatus of claim 6, further comprising:

a communication signal is transferred within the link

8. The apparatus of claim 6, whereby

the component is coupled to the second transceiver.

9. A power saving system comprising:

a visual monitoring system locating a user;

the user being beyond a distance to access a component;

a wireless link between a local processor and the component is inactivated, and

energy transfer to the component is inactivated.

10. The apparatus of claim 9, further comprising:

electronics incorporated in at least one integrated circuit are powered down.

11. The apparatus of claim 10, wherein

an overall power usage of the link is minimized.

12. The apparatus of claim 9, further comprising:

a processor coupled to the component.

13. The apparatus of claim 9, wherein

the link is activated when the visual monitoring system locates the user being within the distance to access the component.

14. The apparatus of claim 13, further comprising:

an energy transfer occurs within the link.

15. A method of using a visual monitoring system comprising the steps of:

using the visual monitoring system to locate a user;

coupling a first transceiver to a first end of a link;

coupling a second transceiver to a second end of the link;

coupling a component to the first transceiver;

using the visual monitoring system to locate the user with being beyond a distance to access the component; and

deactivating the link;

16. The method of claim 15, wherein

the component is decoupled from the second transceiver.

17. The method of claim 15, further comprising, the steps of:

powering down electronics incorporated in at least one integrated circuit.

18. The method of claim 17, wherein

an overall power usage of the link is minimized

19. The method of claim 15, further comprising the steps of:

coupling a processor to the second end of the link.

20. The method of claim 15, wherein

the link is activated when the visual monitoring system locates the user being within the distance to access the component.

21. The method of claim 20, further comprising the steps of:

transferring a communication signal within the link.

22. The method of claim 20, whereby the component is coupled to the second transceiver.
