1. A method comprising:
- a) receiving, by a first base station, at least one application protocol message from a second base station, said at least one application protocol message comprising a plurality of parameters corresponding to a second physical downlink control channel, said plurality of parameters comprising;
i) one or more frequency resource parameters in terms of resource blocks; and
ii) one or more subframe parameters identifying a subset of subframes;
b) selecting, by said first base station, at least one transmission parameter of a first downlink control channel and/or a first downlink data channel of said downlink carrier of said first base station based, at least in part, on said second physical downlink control channel configuration of said second base station; and
c) transmitting scheduling packets on said first downlink control channel, said scheduling packets comprising scheduling information for packets transmitted on said first downlink data channel.

The at least one application protocol message may comprise a second physical downlink control channel configuration. The first base station may transmit a packet comprising acknowledgement for the receipt of the at least one application protocol.

a) receiving, by a first base station, at least one application protocol message from a second base station, said at least one application protocol message comprising a plurality of parameters corresponding to a second physical downlink control channel, said plurality of parameters comprising; i) one or more frequency resource parameters in terms of resource blocks; and ii) one or more subframe parameters identifying a subset of subframes; b) selecting, by said first base station, at least one transmission parameter of a first downlink control channel and/or a first downlink data channel of said downlink carrier of said first base station based, at least in part, on said second physical downlink control channel configuration of said second base station; and c) transmitting scheduling packets on said first downlink control channel, said scheduling packets comprising scheduling information for packets transmitted on said first downlink data channel.
