- a signal transmitting and receiving unit configured to generate intermediate frequency signals based on transmission signals obtained by frequency modulation in multiple modulation periods and reception signals corresponding to reflected waves of the transmission signals;
a distance detecting unit configured to calculate distances based on peak frequencies of the intermediate frequency signals generated by the signal transmitting and receiving unit; and
a determination unit configured to determine whether or not the distances calculated by the distance detecting unit and corresponding to the multiple modulation periods are equal to each other.
