Abstract

A mobile terminal including a display, and a controller coupled to the display, the controller configured to display information on the display, scroll the displayed information in response to a touch and moving input applied on the display in a direction, and refresh the displayed information if the touch and moving input is released subsequent to the scrolling of the displayed information.

Claims

1. A mobile terminal comprising:

a display; and

a controller coupled to the display, the controller configured to;

display information on the display;

scroll the displayed information in response to a touch and moving input applied on the display in a direction; and

refresh the displayed information if the touch and moving input is released subsequent to the scrolling of the displayed information.

2. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the direction is a vertical direction.

3. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the direction is a downward direction.

4. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to transition to a new page of information in response to another touch and moving input applied on the display in another direction that is perpendicular to the direction.

5. The mobile terminal of claim 4, wherein the direction is a vertical direction and said another direction is a horizontal direction.

6. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to display at least one of text or image to notify the refreshing of the displayed information.

7. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the touch and moving input is a touch and dragging input.

8. A mobile terminal comprising:

a display; and

a controller coupled to the display, the controller configured to;

display information on the display;

scroll the displayed information in response to a touch and moving input applied in a direction; and

refresh the displayed information if the displayed information cannot be scrolled any further in the direction of the touch and moving input.

9. The mobile terminal of claim 8, wherein the direction is a vertical direction.

10. The mobile terminal of claim 8, wherein the direction is a downward direction.

11. The mobile terminal of claim 8, wherein the controller is further configured to transition to a new page of information in response to another touch and moving input applied on the display in another direction that is perpendicular to the direction.

12. The mobile terminal of claim 11, wherein the direction is a vertical direction and said another direction is a horizontal direction.

13. The mobile terminal of claim 8, wherein the controller is further configured to display at least one of text or image to notify the refreshing of the displayed information.

14. The mobile terminal of claim 8, wherein the touch and moving input is a touch and dragging input.

15. The mobile terminal of claim 8, wherein the refreshing of the displayed information is triggered when the touch and moving input is released once the displayed information cannot be scrolled any further in the direction of the touch and moving input.

16. A method of controlling a mobile terminal comprising:

displaying information on a display of the mobile terminal;

scrolling the displayed information in response to a touch and moving input applied on the display in a direction; and

refreshing the displayed information if the touch and moving input is released subsequent to the scrolling of the displayed information.

17. The method of claim 16, wherein the direction is a vertical direction.

18. The method of claim 16, further comprising transitioning to a new page of information in response to another touch and moving input applied on the display in another direction that is perpendicular to the direction.

19. The method of claim 18, wherein the direction is a vertical direction and said another direction is a horizontal direction.

20. The method of claim 16, further comprising displaying at least one of text or image to notify the refreshing of the information.
