Abstract

In a wireless communication system capable of wireless communication by using multiple frequency bands at the same time, a mobile station includes an uplink transmitting unit, which transmits allowable power difference between frequency bands and limitation node information indicating an object of power limitation in transmission power control of the mobile station to a base station, and a transmission-power control unit, which controls transmission power on the basis of a TPC command received from the base station, and the base station includes a TPC-command generating unit, which generates a TPC command on the basis of the allowable power difference between frequency bands and the limitation mode information, and a transmitting unit, which transmits the TPC command to the mobile station.

Claims

1. A wireless communication system capable of wireless communication between a mobile station and a bass station by using multiple frequency bands at the same time, wherein

the mobile station includes:

an uplink transmitting unit that transmits allowable power difference between frequency bands and mode information indicating an object of power limitation in transmission power control of the mobile station to the base station; and

a transmission-power control unit that controls transmission power on the basis of a transmission power control command received from the base station, and

the base station includes;

a generating unit that generates a transmission power control command on the basis of the allowable power difference between frequency bands and the mode information; and

a downlink transmitting unit that transmits the transmission power control command to the mobile station.

2. The wireless communication system according to claim. 1, wherein

the object of power limitation is respective transmission power values of frequency bauds or respective power spectral densities of the transmission power values.

3. The wireless communication system according to claim 2, wherein

when the object of power limitation is respective transmission power values of frequency bands, the generating unit of the base station performs power limitation so that difference in. transmission, power between the frequency bands is within the allowable power difference in comparison of the respective transmission power values,

when the object of power limitation is respective power spectral densities of transmission power values of frequency bands, the generating unit performs power limitation so that difference in power spectral, density between the frequency bands is within the allowable power difference in comparison of the respective power spectral densities, and

the generating unit generates a transmission power control command on the basis of a result of the power limitation,

4. A wireless communication system, capable of wireless communication between a base station and a mobile station by using multiple frequency bands at the same time, wherein

the base station includes:

a generating unit that generates a transmission power control command; and

a downlink transmitting unit that transmits the transmission power control command to the mobile station, and

the mobile station includes;

a receiving unit that receives a transmission power control command from the base station; and

a transmission-power control unit that, when the receiving unit has received a transmission power control command, limits a power value subject to power limitation on the basis of allowable power difference between frequency bands, and controls transmission power on the basis of a result of the limiting process.

5. The wireless communication system according to claim 4, wherein

the power value subject to power limitation is respective transmission power values of frequency bands or respective power spectral densities of the transmission power values.

6. The wireless communication system according to claim 5, wherein

when the power value subject to power limitation is respective transmission power values of frequency bands, the transmission-power control unit of the mobile station limits the respective transmission power values so that difference in transmission power between the frequency bands is within the allowable power difference, and

when the power value subject, to power limitation is respective power spectral densities of transmission power values of frequency bands, the transmission-power control unit converts transmission power values of frequency bands into power spectral densities, respectively, and limits the power spectral densities so that difference in power spectral density between the frequency bands is within the allowable power difference.

7. A wireless communication system capable of wireless communication between a mobile station and a base station by using multiple frequency bands at the same time, wherein

the mobile station, includes an uplink transmitting unit that transmits allowable power difference between frequency bands to the base station,

the base station includes:

a generating unit that generates a first transmission power control command corresponding to a first object of power limitation and a second transmission power control command corresponding to a second object of power limitation in parallel on the basis of the allowable power difference between frequency bands; and

a downlink transmitting unit that transmits the first and second transmission power control commands generated by the generating unit to the mobile station, and

the mobile station further includes;

a receiving unit that receives the first and second transmission power control commands from the base station; and

a transmission-power control unit that detects a desired transmission power control command corresponding to an object of power limitation in transmission power control of the mobile station from the first and second transmission power control commands, and controls transmission power on the basis of a result of the detection.

8. The wireless communication system according to claim 7, wherein

the generating unit of the base station associates each transmission power control command with identification information for identifying the transmission power control command, and

the transmission-power control unit of the mobile station detects she desired transmission power control command on the basis of known identification information that the mobile station and the base station have known in advance.

9. The wireless communication system according to claim 7, wherein

the first object of power limitation is respective transmission power values of frequency bands, and the second object of power limitation is respective power spectral densities of the transmission, power values.

10. The wireless communication system according to claim 9, wherein

the generating unit of the base station performs power limitation so that difference in transmission power is within the allowable power difference in comparison of the respective transmission power values of the frequency bands, and generates a first transmission power control command on the basis of a result of the power limitation, and

the generating unit of the base station performs power limitation so that difference in power spectral density is within the allowable power difference in. comparison of the respective power spectral densities of the transmission power values of the frequency bands, and generates a second transmission power control command, on the basis of a result of the power limitation.

11. A mobile station capable of transmitting and receiving radio signals by using multiple frequency bands at the same time, the mobile station comprising;

a transmitting unit that transmits mode information indicating an object of power limitation in transmission power control of the mobile station to a base station; and

a transmission-power control unit that controls transmission power on the basis of a transmission power control command received from the base station.

12. The mobile station according to claim 11, wherein

the transmitting unit further transmits allowable power difference between frequency bands to the base station.

13. The mobile station according to claim 12, further comprising a receiving unit that receives a transmission power control command that the base station has generated on the basis of the allowable power difference between frequency bands and the mode information,

14. The mobile station according to claim 11, wherein

the object of power limitation is respective transmission power values of frequency bands or respective power spectral densities of the transmission power values.

15. A mobile station capable of transmitting and receiving radio signals by using multiple frequency bands at the same time, the mobile station comprising:

a receiving unit that receives a transmission power control command from, a base station; and

a transmission-power control unit that, when the receiving unit has received a transmission power control command, limits a power value subject to power limitation on the basis of allowable power difference between frequency bands, and controls transmission power on the basis of a result of the limiting process.

16. The mobile station according to claim 15, wherein

the power value subject to power limitation is respective transmission power values of frequency bands or respective power spectral densities of the transmission power values.

17. The mobile station according to claim ill wherein

when the power value subject to power limitation is respective transmission power values of frequency bands, the transmission-power control unit limits the respective transmission power values so that difference in transmission power between the frequency bands is within the allowable power difference, and

when the power value subject to power limitation is respective power spectral densities of transmission, power values of frequency bands, the transmission-power control unit converts transmission power values of frequency bands into power spectral densities, respectively, and limits the power spectral densities so that difference in power spectral density between the frequency bands is within the allowable power difference.

18. A mobile station capable of transmitting and receiving radio signals by using multiple frequency bands at the same time, the mobile station comprising:

a transmitting unit that transmits allowable power difference between frequency bands to a base station;

a receiving unit that receives a first transmission power control command corresponding to a first object of power limitation and a second transmission power control command, corresponding to a second object of power limitation which have been generated in parallel by the base station on the basis of the allowable power difference between frequency bands; and

a transmission-power control unit that detects a desired transmission power control command corresponding to an object of power limitation in transmission power control of the mobile station from the first and second transmission power control commands, and controls transmission power on the basis of a result of the detection.

19. The mobile station according to claim 18, wherein

the transmission-power control unit detects the desired transmission power control command further on the basis of known identification information for identifying each transmission, power control command that the mobile station and the base station have known in advance.

20. The mobile station according to claim 18, wherein

the object of power limitation in transmission power control of the mobile station is respective transmission power values of frequency bands or respective power spectral densities of the transmission power values.

21. ft base station capable of transmitting and receiving radio signals by using multiple frequency bands at the same time, the base station comprising:

a generating unit that generates a transmission power control command, on the basis of allowable power difference between frequency bands and mode information indicating an object of power limitation in transmission power control of a mobile station that the mobile station transmits; and

a transmitting unit that transmits the transmission power control command to the mobile station.

22. A base station capable of transmitting and receiving radio signals by using multiple frequency bands at the same time, the base station comprising:

a generating unit that generates a first transmission power control command corresponding to a first object of power limitation and a second transmission power control, command corresponding to a second object of power limitation in parallel on the basis of allowable power difference between frequency bands received from a mobile station; and

a transmitting unit that transmits the first and second transmission power control, commands generated by the generating unit to the mobile station.

23. A wireless communication method in a wireless communication system capable of wireless communication between a mobile station and a base station by using multiple frequency bands at the same time, the wireless communication method comprising:

the mobile station transmitting allowable power difference between frequency bands and mode information indicating an object of power limitation in transmission power control of the mobile station to the base station;

the base station generating a transmission power control command on the basis of the allowable power difference between frequency bands and the mode information and transmitting the transmission power control command to the mobile station; and

the mobile station controlling transmission power on the basis of the transmission power control command received from the base station.

24. A wireless communication method in a wireless communication system capable of wireless communication between a mobile station and a base station by using multiple frequency bands at the same time, the wireless communication method comprising:

the base station generating a transmission power control command and transmitting the transmission power control command to the mobile station; and

when having received the transmission power control command from the base station, the mobile station limiting a power value subject to power limitation on the basis of allowable power difference between frequency bands and controlling transmission power on the basis of a result of the limiting process.

25. A wireless communication method in a wireless communication system capable of wireless communication between a mobile station and a base station by using multiple frequency bands at the same time, the wireless communication method comprising:

the mobile station transmitting allowable power difference between frequency bands to the base station;

the base station generating a first transmission power control command corresponding to a first object of power limitation and a second transmission power control command corresponding to a second object of power limitation in parallel on the basis of the allowable power difference between frequency bands and transmitting the first and second transmission power control commands to the mobile station; and

the mobile station receiving the first and second transmission power control commands from the base station, detecting a desired transmission power control command corresponding to an object of power limitation in transmission power control of the mobile station from the first and second transmission power control commands, and controlling transmission power on the basis of a result of the detection.
