Abstract

A communication system in which a communication service client terminal specifies a criterion, with further communication service client terminals which meet the criterion being able to be participants in a communication service which is provided. A server computer is configured to produce a list of the further communication service client units which meet the criterion and to transmit the list.

Claims

1. A communication system comprising:

a communication service client terminal configured to generate one or more messages which contain at least one criterion which is respectively met or not met by a group of further communication service client terminals and contain a request for provision of a communication service and a specification that a subgroup of the group of the further communication service client terminals which meet the criterion can be participants in the communication service provided; and

a server computer configured to generate dynamically, during an establishment of a communication conference session of the provided communication service between the communication service client terminal and a subgroup of the group of the further communication service client terminals or during a running communication conference session of the provided communication service between the communication service client terminal and a subgroup of the group of the further communication service client terminals, information describing a further subgroup of the group of the further communication service client terminals which meet the criterion and can be participants in the communication conference session of the communication service provided, and to check, in the course of providing the communication conference session of the communication service, the validity of the information of the further subgroup of the group of the further communication service client terminals which meet the criterion and can be participants in the communication conference session of the communication service and, if appropriate, to update the information,

wherein a communication service server computer is configured to provide the communication conference session of the provided communication service between the communication service client terminal and the further subgroup of the group of the further communication service client terminals which meet the criterion as participants on the basis of the information, and to alter the participants in the communication conference session of the communication service provided on the basis of the updated information.

2. The communication system according to claim 1, wherein the communication service client terminal is configured to send one or more messages with the at least one criterion to the server computer.

3. The communication system according to claim 1, wherein the server computer is configured to store the at least one criterion.

4. The communication system according to claim 1, wherein the server computer is configured as a group management server unit.

The communication system according to claim 1, wherein the server computer is further configured to generate dynamically information of the further subgroup of the group of the further communication service client terminals by transmitting to at least one information server unit a message which contains a request for information which is required for checking whether the further subgroup of the group of the further communication service client terminals meet the criterion.

9. The communication system according to claim 8, wherein the information server unit is a presence server unit or a location server unit.

The communication system according to claim 1, wherein the one or more messages also contains further information of a further subgroup of the group of the further communication service client terminals, and one of the further communication service client terminals can be a participant in the communication conference session of the communication service provided only if it is shown in the further information and meets the criterion.

11. The communication system according to claim 1, wherein the communication service is a communication service which is based on SIP.

12. The communication system according to claim 1, wherein the at least one criterion is specified on the basis of XML in one or more messages.

13. The communication system according to claim 1, wherein the communication service is provided as part of a further communication service provided by the communication service server computer.

14. The communication system according to claim 1, wherein the communication service is a service selected from the group consisting of:

a PoC service, a communication service for sending instant messages, an MMS communication service, and a conference communication service.

5. The communication system according to claim 29, wherein the request is held in a first message from the one or more messages and is transmitted from the communication service client terminal to the communication service server computer.

6. The communication system according to claim 5, wherein the criterion is held in a second message from the one or more messages and is transmitted from the communication service client terminal to the server computer.

7. The communication system according to claim 5, wherein the criterion is held in the first message from the one or more messages.

15. A communication service client terminal configured to generate one or more messages which contain at least one criterion which is respectively met or not met by a group of further communication service client terminals and contain a request for provision of a communication service and a specification that a subgroup of the group of the further communication service client terminals which meet the criterion during an establishment of a communication conference session of a provided communication service or during a running communication session of the provided communication service can be participants on a dynamic basis in the communication conference session of the communication service provided and sending a request for checking, in the course of providing a communication conference session of the communication service, the validity of the subgroup of the group of the further communication service client terminals which meet the criterion and participate in the communication conference session of the communication service and, if appropriate, altering the participants in the communication conference session of the communication service.

16. The communication service client terminal according to claim 15, wherein the request for checking is part of the one or more messages generated by the communication service client terminal.

17. The communication service client terminal according to claim 15, wherein the request for checking is indicated by sending an automatic update flag.

18. A method for operating a communication service client terminal in a communication system having a group of further communication service client terminals, a communication service server computer, and a server computer, wherein the method comprises the communication service client terminal generating one or more messages which contain at least one criterion which is respectively met or not met by the group of the further communication service client terminals and contain a request for provision of a communication service and a specification that a subgroup of the group of the further communication service client terminals which meet the criterion, during an establishment of a communication conference session of a provided communication service or during a running communication session of the provided communication service, can be participants on a dynamic basis in the communication conference session of the communication service provided and sending a request for checking, in the course of providing a communication conference session of the communication service, the validity of the subgroup of the group of the further communication service client terminals which meet the criterion and participate in the communication conference session of the communication service and, if appropriate, altering the participants in the communication conference session of the communication service.

19. The method according to claim 18, wherein the request for checking is part of the one or more messages generated by the communication service client terminal.

20. The method according to claim 18, wherein the request for checking is indicated by sending an automatic update flag.
