Abstract

Systems and methods for providing a virtual professionals community for conducting virtual consultations with suggested professionals includes receiving, in a server, data associated with a plurality of professionals, including a specialty descriptive of one or more of the plurality of professionals. The server can receive a peer performance rating for one of the plurality of professionals generated by a second of the plurality of professionals. A client can submit, to the server, a search request that includes user-defined search criteria. The server can then search the received data based on the search criteria to select relevant professionals associated with the client'"'"'s search request. The server can rank the selected relevant professionals based on peer performance ratings and the relevancy of the relevant professional to the search criteria. After ranking the selected professionals, the server can transmit a report of the relevant professionals ordered in the ranking determined by the server.

Claims

1. A method comprising:

receiving, in a server, data associated with a plurality of professionals, said data including a specialty descriptive of one or more of said plurality of professionals;

receiving, at said server, a peer performance rating for one of said plurality of professionals generated by a second of said plurality of professionals;

receiving, at said server, a search request for selecting relevant professionals, the search request including search criteria;

conducting, at said server, a search of the received data based on said search criteria to select relevant professionals;

ranking, at said server, the selected relevant professionals based on said peer performance ratings and said search request; and

transmitting, from said server, a report of said relevant professionals.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein said transmitted report provides the ranking of said selected professionals.

3. The method of claim 1,

said data associated with a plurality of professionals received by providing a personal login for each of said plurality of professionals and receiving personal professional detail data associated with each login.

4. The method of claim 1,

said server receiving from said first electronic device a selection for one of said relevant professionals.

5. The method of claim 4,

said server establishing a communication interface between said first electronic device and a second electronic device, said first electronic device being associated with a client and said second electronic device being associated with said selected professional.

6. The method of claim 5, wherein said communication interface between said first and second electronic devices includes video telecommunications.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein said criteria includes at least one search term.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein said plurality of professional are medical professionals.

9. The method of claim 1, wherein said specialty descriptive of one or more of said plurality of professionals is a medical specialty.

10. A system comprising:

a processor; and

a non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing instructions for controlling the processor to perform steps comprising;

receiving, in a server, data associated with a plurality of professionals, said data including a specialty descriptive of one or more of said plurality of professionals;

receiving, at said server, a peer performance rating for one of said plurality of professionals generated by a second of said plurality of professionals;

receiving, at said server, a search request for selecting relevant professionals, the search request including search criteria;

conducting, at said server, a search of the received data based on said search criteria to select relevant professionals;

ranking, at said server, the selected relevant professionals based on said peer performance ratings and said search request; and

transmitting, from said server, a report of said relevant professionals.

11. The system of claim 10, wherein said transmitted report provides the ranking of said selected professionals.

12. The system of claim 10,

said data associated with a plurality of professionals received by providing a personal login for each of said plurality of professionals and receiving personal professional detail data associated with each login.

13. The system of claim 10,

said server receiving from said first electronic device a selection for one of said relevant professionals.

14. The system of claim 13,

said server establishing a communication interface between said first electronic device and a second electronic device, said first electronic device being associated with a client and said second electronic device being associated with said selected professional.

15. The system of claim 14, wherein said communication interface between said first and second electronic devices includes video telecommunications.

16. A method comprising:

receiving, in a server, data associated with a plurality of professionals, said data including a specialty descriptive of one or more of said plurality of professionals,

receiving, at said server, a search request for selecting relevant professionals including search criteria,

searching, at said server, the data associated with said plurality of professionals based at least in part on said criteria,

selecting a most relevant professional from said search, and

transmitting a notification of said selection to a first electronic device, said notification including a confirmation/rejection option of said selection.

17. The method of claim 16, further comprising

selecting the next most relevant professional from said search and transmitting a notification to a first electronic device in response to receiving a rejection of the previous notification.

18. The method of claim 16, further comprising

receiving, from said first electronic device, a confirmation of selection of said most relevant professional from said search.

19. The method of claim 18, further comprising

communicating said confirmation of selection to a second electronic device with a second confirmation/rejection option in response to receiving confirmation of selection from said first electronic device.

20. The method of claim 19, wherein the second electronic device is associated with a client and the third electronic device is associated with a professional.
