METHOD FOR MANAGING IR IMAGE DATA
First Claim
1. A method of managing data items on a group level in an IR-camera having a graphical user interface, the method comprising:
- receiving a captured IR image as a first data item comprising temperature data representing the temperature variance of an object scene;
receiving an application data item as a second data item, related to the object scene represented by the IR image;
associating the first data item with the second data item as a group of data items such that an operation is enabled on the first data item and the second data item jointly as a group of data items;
storing the first data item and the second data item in a predetermined data structure such that the association as a group of data items is preserved between the IR image and the application data item;
presenting the first and the second data item as a group of data items in a data item container representation in said graphical user interface, wherein presenting the data item container representation comprises presenting a visual representation, such as thumbnail or an icon, of the first data item, the second data item and the group of data items; and
performing an operation on the container representation.

Abstract
This disclosure relates in general to the field of visualizing, imaging and animating groups of images, and annotations in IR-cameras. Various techniques are provided for a method of managing IR image data on a group level. For example, the method may comprise; capturing an IR image comprising temperature data representing the temperature variance of an object scene; storing the IR image as a first data item in a predetermined data structure; storing a second data item in said predetermined data structure; and associating in said data structure the first and the second data item such that an operation is enabled on the first and the second associated data items jointly as a group of data items.

-
a housing; an IR objective; an IR imaging capturing device comprising an infrared (IR) imaging system adapted to receive incoming IR radiation from a scene and convert the IR radiation data into IR image data; an IR image focusing mechanism; a visual camera comprising a visible light imaging system adapted to receive incoming visible light radiation from a scene and convert the visible light radiation data into visible light image data; a processor unit; a display unit integrated in said IR camera, wherein the display is adapted to display an image comprising a selection of visible light data and/or IR image data and a user interface comprising user interface components; and one or more input devices integrated in or coupled to the display, wherein the processor unit is adapted to; receive a captured IR image as a first data item comprising temperature data representing the temperature variance of an object scene, receive an application data item as a second data item, related to the object scene represented by the IR image, associate the first data item with the second data item as a group of data items such that an operation is enabled on the first data item and the second data item jointly as a group of data items, store the first data item and the second data item in a predetermined data structure such that the association as a group of data items is preserved between the IR image and the application data item, present the first and the second data item as a group of data items in a data item container representation in said graphical user interface, wherein presenting the data item container representation comprises presenting a visual representation, such as thumbnail or an icon, of the first data item, the second data item and the group of data items, and perform an operation on the container representation. - View Dependent Claims (8, 9)
