METHOD FOR PROVIDING UI AND PORTABLE APPARATUS APPLYING THE SAME

1. A method for providing a user interface (UI), the method comprising:
- displaying a screen which includes at least one movable object;
moving at least one displayed object according to user manipulation;
determining whether the object which is being moved is located on a region on which the object is allowed to be located; and
providing haptic feedback according to a result of the determination.

Abstract
A method for providing a UI and a portable apparatus applying the same are provided. The method for providing the UI of the portable apparatus includes determining whether motion of shaking the portable apparatus a predetermined number of times is input or not using a sensor included in the portable apparatus, and, if the motion of shaking the portable apparatus the predetermined number of times is input, providing haptic feedback according to a number of pieces of information displayed on a notice window of the portable apparatus. Accordingly, if a predetermined event occurs, haptic feedback corresponding to the predetermined event is provided, so that the user can identify the event without seeing a display.
