ABDOMINAL CAVITY-VEIN SHUNT STENT
First Claim
1. A stent for transporting ascites accumulated in the abdominal cavity of a patient to a vascular system, including:
- a cylindrically-extending stent body which has one end disposed in an intrahepatic vein and the other end disposed in the abdominal cavity by piercing a liver parenchyma;
a one-way valve which is disposed in the stent body, which is opened to drain the ascites into the intrahepatic vein when a differential pressure obtained by subtracting a pressure of the intrahepatic vein from a pressure in the abdominal cavity is not lower than a predetermined value, and which is closed when the differential pressure is lower than the predetermined value; and
a cover member which is arranged in a portion of the stent body passing through the liver parenchyma, prevents the liver parenchyma from entering the stent body,wherein the one-way valve is integrally formed with the cover member at an intrahepatic vein side, and the one-way valve and the cover member are disposed on an inner circumferential side of the stent body.
