Abstract

A method includes determining at least one value for at least one instance of data; determining at least one privacy policy, at least one security policy, or a combination thereof based, at least in part, on the at least one value; and causing, at least in part, an application of the at least one privacy policy, the at least one security policy, or a combination thereof with respect to the at least one instance of data.

Claims

1. A method comprising facilitating a processing of and/or processing (1) data and/or (2) information and/or (3) at least one signal, the (1) data and/or (2) information and/or (3) at least one signal based, at least in part, on the following:

at least one determination of at least one value for at least one instance of data;

at least one determination of at least one privacy policy, at least one security policy, or a combination thereof based, at least in part, on the at least one value; and

an application of the at least one privacy policy, the at least one security policy, or a combination thereof with respect to the at least one instance of data.

2. A method of claim 1, wherein the (1) data and/or (2) information and/or (3) at least one signal are further based, at least in part, on the following:

at least one determination of contextual information associated with at least one owner, at least one recipient, at least one user, or a combination thereof of the at least one instance of data,

wherein the at least one privacy policy, the at least one security policy, or a combination thereof is further based, at least in part, on the contextual information.

3. A method of claim 2, wherein the contextual information includes, at least in part, location information.

4. A method of claim 1, wherein the (1) data and/or (2) information and/or (3) at least one signal are further based, at least in part, on the following:

an initiation of a sharing, an anonymizing, a filtering, or a combination thereof of the at least one value, the at least one instance of data, related user information, related product information, or a combination thereof based, at least in part, on the at least one privacy policy, the at least one security policy, or a combination thereof.

5. A method of claim 1, wherein the (1) data and/or (2) information and/or (3) at least one signal are further based, at least in part, on the following:

a processing of the at least one value against one or more criteria to cause, at least in part, a categorization of the at least one value,

wherein (a) the at least one privacy policy, the at least one security policy, or a combination thereof (b) the application of the at least one privacy policy, the at least one security policy, or a combination thereof or (c) a combination is further based, at least in part, on the categorization.

6. A method of claim 1, wherein the at least one instance of data includes, at least in part, at least one test result.

7. A method of claim 6, wherein the at least one test result is associated with a diagnostic test, an efficacy test, or a combination thereof.

8. A method of claim 1, wherein the (1) data and/or (2) information and/or (3) at least one signal are further based, at least in part, on the following:

a generation of a mapping of the at least one privacy policy, the at least one security policy, or a combination thereof to one or more potential values, one or more potential value ranges, or a combination thereof of the at least one instance of data; and

at least one determination of the at least one privacy policy, the at least one security policy or a combination thereof based, at least in part, on a comparison of the at least one value to the mapping.

9. A method of claim 1, wherein the (1) data and/or (2) information and/or (3) at least one signal are further based, at least in part, on the following:

a presentation of the at least one privacy policy, the at least one security policy, or a combination thereof;

at least one determination of an input for selecting, for confirming, or a combination thereof the at least one privacy policy, the at least on security policy, or a combination thereof; and

an initiation of the application of the at least one privacy policy, the at least one security policy, or a combination thereof based, at least in part, on the input.

10. A method of claim 1, wherein the (1) data and/or (2) information and/or (3) at least one signal are further based, at least in part, on the following:

at least one determination to recommend the at least one privacy policy, the at least one security policy, or a combination thereof based, at least in part, on one or more products, one or more vendors of the one or more products, or a combination thereof associated with the at least one instance of data.

11. An apparatus comprising:

at least one processor; and

at least one memory including computer program code for one or more programs,

the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to perform at least the following,

determine at least one value for at least one instance of data;

determine at least one privacy policy, at least one security policy, or a combination thereof based, at least in part, on the at least one value; and

cause, at least in part, an application of the at least one privacy policy, the at least one security policy, or a combination thereof with respect to the at least one instance of data.

12. An apparatus of claim 11, wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

determine contextual information associated with at least one owner, at least one recipient, at least one user, or a combination thereof of the at least one instance of data,

wherein the at least one privacy policy, the at least one security policy, or a combination thereof is further based, at least in part, on the contextual information.

13. An apparatus of claim 12, wherein the contextual information includes, at least in part, location information.

14. An apparatus of claim 11, wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

cause, at least in part, an initiation of a sharing, an anonymizing, a filtering, or a combination thereof of the at least one value, the at least one instance of data, related user information, related product information, or a combination thereof based, at least in part, on the at least one privacy policy, the at least one security policy, or a combination thereof.

15. An apparatus of claim 11, wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

process and/or facilitate a processing of the at least one value against one or more criteria to cause, at least in part, a categorization of the at least one value,

wherein (a) the at least one privacy policy, the at least one security policy, or a combination thereof (b) the application of the at least one privacy policy, the at least one security policy, or a combination thereof or (c) a combination is further based, at least in part, on the categorization.

16. An apparatus of claim 11, wherein the at least one instance of data includes, at least in part, at least one test result.

17. An apparatus of claim 16, wherein the at least one test result is associated with a diagnostic test, an efficacy test, or a combination thereof.

18. An apparatus of claim 11, wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

cause, at least in part, a generation of a mapping of the at least one privacy policy, the at least one security policy, or a combination thereof to one or more potential values, one or more potential value ranges, or a combination thereof of the at least one instance of data; and

determine the at least one privacy policy, the at least one security policy or a combination thereof based, at least in part, on a comparison of the at least one value to the mapping.

19. An apparatus of claim 11, wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

cause, at least in part, a presentation of the at least one privacy policy, the at least one security policy, or a combination thereof;

determine an input for selecting, for confirming, or a combination thereof the at least one privacy policy, the at least on security policy, or a combination thereof; and

cause, at least in part, an initiation of the application of the at least one privacy policy, the at least one security policy, or a combination thereof based, at least in part, on the input.

20. An apparatus of claim 11, wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

determine to recommend the at least one privacy policy, the at least one security policy, or a combination thereof based, at least in part, on one or more products, one or more vendors of the one or more products, or a combination thereof associated with the at least one instance of data.
