Abstract

A method for video image sharing and control comprises activating video communication between electronic devices. Transmission of multiple video feeds is controlled using multiple cameras from a first electronic device.

Claims

1. A method for video image sharing and control, comprising:

activating video communication between a plurality of electronic devices; and

controlling transmission of a plurality of video feeds using a plurality of cameras from a first one of the plurality of electronic devices.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein controlling comprises selectively controlling transmission for a first video feed using a first camera of the first electronic device, and for a second video feed using a second camera of the first electronic device.

3. The method of claim 2, further comprising:

controlling transmission of a plurality of video feeds using a plurality of cameras of a second electronic device.

4. The method of claim 3, further comprising:

receiving the plurality of video feeds from the first electronic device at the second electronic device; and

receiving the plurality of video feeds from the second electronic device at the first electronic device.

5. The method of claim 4, wherein controlling transmission of the plurality of video feeds using the plurality of cameras of the second electronic device comprises selectively controlling transmission for a third video feed using a third camera of the second electronic device, and a fourth video feed using a fourth camera of the second electronic device.

6. The method of claim 4, wherein the first electronic device selects between the third video feed and the fourth video feed to be displayed in a full-screen view on the first electronic device.

7. The method of claim 6, wherein the second electronic device selects between the first video feed and the second video feed to be displayed in a full-screen view on the second electronic device.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein the video communication between electronic devices comprises a video chat session.

9. The method of claim 7, wherein the first camera and the third camera each comprise a front camera and the second camera and the fourth camera each comprise a rear camera.

10. The method of claim 9, further comprising controlling transmission of the first video feed or the second video feed based on pressing on a touch screen of a display of the first electronic device over a video feed image of the first video feed or the second video feed to one of turn on sharing or turn off sharing.

11. The method of claim 10, wherein the plurality of video feeds from the first electronic device are simultaneously transmitted from the first electronic device to the second electronic device while the plurality of video feeds from the second electronic device are simultaneously transmitted from the second electronic device to the first electronic device.

12. The method of claim 1, wherein the first electronic device comprises a mobile phone.

46. The method of claim 1, wherein controlling comprises:

controlling transmission of a first one of the plurality of video feeds, controlling transmission of a second one of the plurality of video feeds, or controlling transmission of both the first one and the second one of the plurality of video feeds.

13. A system for video image sharing and control, comprising:

a first electronic device;

a first camera used for capturing a first video feed; and

a second camera used for capturing a second video feed,

wherein the first electronic device controls transmission of the first video feed and the second video feed to a second electronic device.

14. The system of claim 13, wherein the first electronic device selectively controls transmission for the first video feed using the first camera and the second video feed using the second camera.

15. The system of claim 14, further comprising:

a second electronic device;

a third camera; and

a fourth camera,

wherein the second electronic device receives the first video feed and the second video feed from the first electronic device, and selectively controls transmission to the first electronic device for a third video feed from the third camera and for a fourth video feed from the fourth camera.

16. The system of claim 15, wherein the first electronic device selects between the third video feed and the fourth video feed to be displayed in a full-screen view on a first display, and the second electronic device selects between the first video feed and the second video feed to be displayed in a full-screen view on a second display.

17. The system of claim 13, wherein video communication is shared between the first electronic device and the second electronic device during a video chat session.

18. The system of claim 17, wherein the first camera and the third camera each comprise a front camera and the second camera and the fourth camera each comprise a rear camera.

19. The system of claim 18, wherein the first electronic device controls the first video feed transmission and the second video feed transmission to the second electronic device based on a pressing on a touch screen of the first display over a video feed image of the first video feed or the second video feed to one of turn on sharing or turn off sharing of the first video feed or the second video feed.

20. The system of claim 19, wherein the first video feed and the second video feed are simultaneously transmitted from the first electronic device to the second electronic device while the third video feed and the second video feed are simultaneously transmitted from the second electronic device to the first electronic device.

21. The system of claim 14, wherein the first electronic device and the second electronic device each comprise a mobile phone.

22. A non-transitory computer-readable medium having instructions which when executed on a computer perform a method comprising:

activating video communication between a plurality of electronic devices; and

controlling transmission of a plurality of video feeds using a plurality of cameras from a first one of the plurality of electronic devices.

23. The medium of claim 22, wherein controlling comprises selectively controlling transmission for a first video feed using a first camera of the first electronic device, and for a second video feed using a second camera of the first electronic device.

24. The medium of claim 23, further comprising:

controlling transmission of a plurality of video feeds from a plurality of cameras of a second electronic device.

25. The medium of claim 24, further comprising:

receiving the plurality of video feeds from the first electronic device at the second electronic device; and

receiving the plurality of video feeds from the second electronic device at the first electronic device.

26. The medium of claim 25, wherein controlling comprises selectively controlling transmission for a third video feed using a first camera of the second electronic device, and a fourth video feed using a second camera of the second electronic device.

27. The medium of claim 26, further comprising controlling transmission of the first video feed or the second video feed based on pressing on a touch screen of a display of the first electronic device over a video feed image of the first video feed or the second video feed to one of turn on sharing or turn off sharing.

28. The medium of claim 27, wherein the first video feed and the second video feed are simultaneously transmitted from the first electronic device to the second electronic device while the third video feed and the fourth video feed are simultaneously transmitted from the second electronic device to the first electronic device.

29. The medium of claim 28, wherein the first electronic device and the second electronic device each comprise a mobile phone.

47. The medium of claim 22, wherein controlling comprises:

controlling transmission of a first one of the plurality of video feeds, controlling transmission of a second one of the plurality of video feeds, or controlling transmission of both the first one and the second one of the plurality of video feeds.

30. A graphical user interface (GUI) displayed on a display of an electronic device, comprising:

a first image of a first video feed captured from a first camera; and

a second image of a second video feed captured from a second camera,

wherein the first video feed and the second video feed are simultaneously received from another electronic device.

31. The GUI of claim 30, further comprising:

a third image of a third video feed captured from a third camera; and

a fourth image of a fourth video feed captured from a fourth camera,

wherein the third video feed and the fourth video feed are transmitted from the electronic device.

39. A server comprising:

a memory for storing video feeds; and

a service that uses a processor for video content streaming for sharing the video feeds between a plurality of electronic devices, wherein a particular one of the plurality of electronic devices captures a first video feed and a second video feed for sharing the first video feed and the second video feed with another one of the plurality of electronic devices using the service.

40. The server of claim 39, wherein the service controls the first video feed and the second video feed using signals from a first electronic device for transmission to a second electronic device, wherein a first camera captures the first video feed, and a second camera captures the second video feed.

41. The server of claim 40, wherein the second electronic device receives the first video feed and the second video feed over a cloud network, and the server selectively controls transmission to the first electronic device for a third video feed from a third camera and for a fourth video feed from a fourth camera using signals received from the second electronic device.

42. The server of claim 39, wherein video communication is shared between the plurality of electronic devices during a video chat session using the service.

43. The server of claim 41, wherein the first camera and the third camera each comprise a front camera and the second camera and the fourth camera each comprise a rear camera.

44. The server of claim 43, wherein the first video feed and the second video feed are simultaneously streamed from the server to the particular one of the plurality of electronic devices to the other one of the plurality of electronic devices using the service while the third video feed and the second video feed are simultaneously streamed from the server to the other one of the plurality of electronic devices to the particular one of the plurality of electronic devices using the service.

45. The server of claim 44, wherein each of the plurality of electronic devices comprises a mobile phone, and the server is part of the cloud network.

48. A graphical user interface (GUI) displayed on a display of an electronic device, comprising:

a first image of a first video feed captured from a first camera; and

a second image of a second video feed captured from a second camera,

wherein the first video feed and the second video feed are simultaneously displayed on the electronic device.

49. The GUI of claim 48, further comprising:

a third image of a third video feed captured from a third camera; and

a fourth image of a fourth video feed captured from a fourth camera,

wherein the third video feed and the fourth video feed are transmitted from the electronic device.
