Abstract

Provided is a method of controlling a component for a network system. The method of controlling the component for the network system includes recognizing low-price period or high-price period information, recognizing a scheduled operation time including a scheduled operation start time of the component, determining whether a change condition of the scheduled operation time is satisfied, and changing the scheduled operation time when the change condition is satisfied and operating the component at the changed scheduled operation time.

21. A method of controlling a component capable of communicating with a network system, the method comprising:

receiving by a control unit information related to energy, the control unit determining a low-price period or a high-price period based on the information;

receiving by the control unit a scheduled operation time comprising at least one of a scheduled operation start time or a scheduled operation end time of the component;

determining by the control unit on whether a change condition of the scheduled operation time is satisfied; and

changing by the control unit the scheduled operation time when the change condition is satisfied and operating the component at the changed scheduled operation time.

22. The method according to claim 21, wherein the scheduled operation time is changed by the control unit so that at least portion of the scheduled operation time is disposed in the low-price period.

23. The method according to claim 21, wherein, when the scheduled operation start time is changed by the control unit, the changed scheduled operation start time is advanced earlier than the scheduled operation start time before the change.

24. The method according to claim 21, wherein the scheduled operation start time disposed in the high-price period is changed by the control unit so that the changed scheduled operation start time is disposed in the low-price period.

25. The method according to claim 21, wherein the scheduled operation end time is changed by the control unit so that the changed scheduled operation end time is disposed in the low-price period.

26. The method according to claim 21, wherein the scheduled operation start time disposed in the low-price period is advanced earlier within the low-price period by the control unit.

27. The method according to claim 21, wherein a first high-price period, the low-price period, and a second high-price period successively arrive, the method comprising:

determining by the control unit that the scheduled operation start time of the component is disposed in the second high-price period; and

advancing earlier the scheduled operation start time by the control unit so that at least portion of the scheduled operation time of the component is disposed in the low-price period.

28. The method according to claim 27, wherein the changed scheduled operation start time is disposed by the control unit in the first high-price period or the low-price period.

29. The method according to claim 21, wherein the scheduled operation end time is changed together with the scheduled operation start time by the control unit.

30. The method according to claim 21, wherein the scheduled operation start time is changed by the control unit to start at a start time of the low-price period.

31. The method according to claim 21, further comprising outputting the changed scheduled operation time information by the control unit through a user interface.

32. The method according to claim 21, wherein, the control unit determines that the changed condition is satisfied when a reference information value related to an operation of the component is greater than a reference information value related to an operation of another component.

33. The method according to claim 32, wherein the reference information value comprises at least one of energy consumption or an operation time length.

34. The method according to claim 32, wherein, when the control unit determines that the change condition is satisfied, the scheduled operation start time is changed by the control unit so that the scheduled operation start time is disposed in the low-price period.

35. The method according to claim 32, wherein, when the control unit determines that the change condition is satisfied, an operation order of the component and the another component is changed by the control unit by advancing earlier the scheduled operation time of the component with respect to the scheduled operation time of the another component.

36. The method according to claim 35, wherein the component is operated together with the another component for at least portion of the scheduled operation time of the component.

37. The method according to claim 21, further comprising the control unit causing a function performance medium that performs a function of the component to be stored in a storage part.

38. The method according to claim 37, further comprises the control unit causing the stored function performance medium to be used in the high-price period to perform the function of the component.

39. The method according to claim 38, wherein, the control unit causes the function performance medium is used when the control unit restricts an operation of the component.

40. The method according to claim 37, wherein the function performance medium comprises air or water.

41. A method of controlling a component capable of communicating with a network system, the method comprising:

receiving by a control unit information related to energy, the control unit determining a low price period or a high price period based on the information;

determining by the control unit on whether a storing condition of a function performance medium is satisfied; and

controlling by the control unit to cause a function performance medium that performs a function of the component to be stored in a storage part.

42. The method according to claim 41, further comprising the control unit causing the stored function performance medium to be used in the high price period to perform the function of the component.

43. The method according to claim 42, wherein, the control unit causes the function performance medium is used when the control unit restricts an operation of the component.

44. The method according to claim 41, wherein the function performance medium comprises air or water.

45. The method according to claim 44, wherein

the component is a home appliance, and

the home appliance comprises at least one compartment that receives a consumable and a closure that selectively closes the compartment.

46. The method according to claim 45, wherein

the function performance medium is cold air circulating within the compartment, and

the storage part is one of a plurality of compartments.

47. The method according to claim 46, wherein

the function performance medium is cold air, and

the storage part is one of a plurality of compartments.

48. The method according to claim 47, wherein

the home appliance comprises a blocking part partitioning the storage part from other compartments and a damper provided at the blocking part.
