1. A method for seamless playback of content, the method comprising:
- Discovering, by a second device, a first device which is currently playing back a content in response to a seamless playback request;
requesting the first device to transmit a property set related to a currently played back asset; and
seamlessly playing back the content on the basis of the property set transmitted from the first device.

Abstract
A method and apparatus for seamless playback of content and apparatus are provided. The method includes: discovering, by a second device, a first device which is currently playing back a content in response to a seamless playback request; requesting the first device to transmit a property set related to a currently played back asset; and seamlessly playing back the content on the basis of the property set transmitted from the first device. Accordingly, a content can be seamlessly played back between devices through various types of downloads or streaming handovers in an open content market environment which supports device compatibility and a cross-service between heterogeneous services.
