Abstract

A labeling area determining apparatus is provided. The labeling area determining apparatus includes a detecting device configured to detect a tilt of a head relative to a body axial direction of a subject to be imaged by an arterial spin labeling method, and a determining device configured to determine a tilt of a labeling area of spins relative to the body axial direction of the subject, based on the tilt of the head detected by the detecting device.

Claims

1. A labeling area determining apparatus comprising:

a detecting device configured to detect a tilt of a head relative to a body axial direction of a subject to be imaged by an arterial spin labeling method; and

a determining device configured to determine a tilt of a labeling area of spins relative to the body axial direction of the subject, based on the tilt of the head detected by the detecting device.

2. The labeling area determining apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the detecting device is configured to detect the tilt of the head, based on a slice direction of an imaging area set to the head.

3. The labeling area determining apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the detecting device is configured to detect the tilt of the head, based on a result of analysis of an image obtained by preliminary imaging of the head.

4. The labeling area determining apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the detecting device is configured to detect a rotational angular component of the head about an antero-posterior (AP) axis thereof, and

wherein the determining device is configured to determine the tilt of the labeling area, based on the rotational angular component.

The labeling area determining apparatus according to claim 4, wherein the determining device is configured to determine the tilt of the labeling area such that the direction of a normal to the labeling area becomes a direction rotated about the AP axis by a rotational angle corresponding to the rotational angular component from the body axial direction.

The labeling area determining apparatus according to claim 5, wherein the determining device is configured to determine the tilt of the labeling area such that the direction of the normal to the labeling area becomes a direction rotated about the AP axis by substantially the same rotational angle as the rotational angular component from the body axial direction.

The labeling area determining apparatus according to claim 4, wherein the detecting device is configured to determine a three-dimensional rotation matrix indicative of the tilt of the head and configured to detect a rotational angular component about an AP axis, based on matrix elements of the three-dimensional rotation matrix.

8. A magnetic resonance apparatus comprising:

a detecting device which configured to detect a tilt of a head relative to a body axis direction of a subject to be imaged by an arterial spin labeling method; and

a determining device configured to determine a tilt of a labeling area of spins relative to the body axial direction of the subject, based on the tilt of the head detected by the detecting device.

9. The magnetic resonance apparatus according to claim 8, wherein the detecting device is configured to detect the tilt of the head, based on a slice direction of an imaging area set to the head.

10. The magnetic resonance apparatus according to claim 8, wherein the detecting device is configured to detect the tilt of the head, based on a result of analysis of an image obtained by preliminary imaging of the head.

11. The magnetic resonance apparatus according to claim 8, wherein the detecting device is configured to detect a rotational angular component of the head about an antero-posterior (AP) axis, and

wherein the determining device is configured to determine the tilt of the labeling area, based on the rotational angular component.

12. The magnetic resonance apparatus according to claim 9, wherein the detecting device is configured to detect a rotational angular component of the head about an antero-posterior (AP) axis, and

wherein the determining device is configured to determine the tilt of the labeling area, based on the rotational angular component.

13. The magnetic resonance apparatus according to claim 10, wherein the detecting device is configured to detect a rotational angular component of the head about an antero-posterior (AP) axis, and

wherein the determining device is configured to determine the tilt of the labeling area, based on the rotational angular component.

The magnetic resonance apparatus according to claim 11, wherein the determining device is configured to determine the tilt of the labeling area such that the direction of a normal to the labeling area becomes a direction rotated about the AP axis by a rotational angle corresponding to the rotational angular component from the body axial direction.

The magnetic resonance apparatus according to claim 11, wherein the detecting device is configured to determine the tilt of the labeling area such that the direction of a normal to the labeling area becomes a direction rotated about the AP axis by substantially the same rotational angle as the rotational angular component from the body axial direction.

The magnetic resonance apparatus according to claim 14, wherein the detecting device is configured to determine the tilt of the labeling area in such a manner that the direction of the normal to the labeling area becomes a direction rotated about the AP axis by substantially the same rotational angle as the rotational angular component from the body axial direction.

The magnetic resonance apparatus according to claim 11, wherein the detecting device is configured to determine a three-dimensional rotation matrix indicative of the tilt of the head and configured to detect a rotational angular component about the AP axis, based on matrix elements of the three-dimensional rotation matrix.

The magnetic resonance apparatus according to claim 14, wherein the detecting device is configured to determine a three-dimensional rotation matrix indicative of the tilt of the head and configured to detect a rotational angular component about the AP axis, based on matrix elements of the three-dimensional rotation matrix.

19. The magnetic resonance apparatus according to claim 15, wherein the detecting device is configured to determine a three-dimensional rotation matrix indicative of the tilt of the head and configured to detect a rotational angular component about the AP axis, based on matrix elements of the three-dimensional rotation matrix.

20. A method for determining a tilt of a labeling area, the method comprising:

detecting a tilt of a head relative to a body axial direction of a subject to be imaged by an arterial spin labeling method; and

determining a tilt of a labeling area of spins relative to the body axial direction of the subject, based on the tilt of the head detected by the detecting device.
