Abstract

A terminal and handwriting sharing method thereof are disclosed, by which a handwriting input is shared between the terminal and an external terminal. The present invention includes a touchscreen configured to display a trace of a user touch input, a wireless communication unit configured to configure a wireless network with an external terminal, and a controller, if a touch input is applied via the touchscreen, controlling a trace of the touch input to be displayed on at least one of the touchscreen and the external terminal.

Claims

1. A terminal comprising:

a touchscreen configured to receive a first touch input and/or to display a trace of a second touch input;

a wireless communication unit configured to communicate with an external terminal via a wireless network; and

a controller to control a trace of the second touch input to be displayed on the touchscreen or the external terminal based on the first touch input to the touchscreen.

2. The terminal of claim 1, wherein the first touch input corresponds to selection of one of:

only the touchscreen,

only the external terminal, or

both the touchscreen and the external terminal.

The terminal of claim 1, wherein in response to the first touch input, while a same content is displayed on both the touchscreen and the external terminal, the controller controls the trace of the second touch input to be simultaneously displayed on both the touchscreen and the external terminal.

The terminal of claim 1, wherein in response to the first touch input, while a same content is displayed on both the touchscreen and the external device, the controller controls the trace of the second touch input to be displayed only on the external terminal without the trace of the second touch input being displayed on the touchscreen.

The terminal of claim 1, wherein in response to the first touch input, while a first content is displayed on the touchscreen and a second content is displayed on the external terminal, the controller controls the trace of the second touch input to be displayed on only the touchscreen without the trace of the second touch input being displayed on the external terminal.

6. The terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller adjusts a displayed position of the trace of the second touch input based on whether the trace of the second touch input is set to be shared.

7. The terminal of claim 6, wherein when the trace of the second touch input is set to be shared, the controller controls the trace of the second touch input to be simultaneously displayed on both the touchscreen and the external terminal, and

wherein when the trace of the second touch input is set to not be shared, the controller controls the trace of the second touch input to be displayed only on the touchscreen without the trace being displayed on the external terminal.

8. The terminal of claim 6, wherein when the trace of the second touch input is set to be shared, the controller controls the trace of the second touch input to be displayed on only the external terminal without the trace being displayed on the touchscreen, and

wherein when the trace of the second touch input is set to not be shared, the controller controls the trace of the second touch input to be displayed only on the touchscreen without the trace being displayed on the external terminal.

9. A terminal comprising:

a display configured to display a trace of a first input applied to an external terminal;

a wireless communication unit configured to communicate with the external terminal via a wireless network; and

a controller to determine whether to display, on the display, the trace of the first input, based on a second input to the display.

10. The terminal of claim 9, wherein the second input corresponds to selection of one of:

only the display,

only the external terminal, or

both the display and the external terminal.

11. The terminal of claim 9, wherein the controller determines whether to display, on the display, the trace of the first input based on whether the external terminal has an input authorization.

12. The terminal of claim 11, wherein when the external terminal has the input authorization, the controller controls the trace of the first input to be displayed on the display, and

wherein when the external terminal does not have the input authorization, the controller controls the trace of the first input to not be displayed on the display.

13. The terminal of claim 11, wherein the controller controls displaying of an object that represents the external terminal, wherein the controller controls the object to be visually identifiable based on whether the external terminal has the input authorization.

14. The terminal of claim 9, wherein the controller controls displaying of a monitoring image of the external terminal.

15. A method of a terminal, the method comprising:

providing a wireless communication with an external terminal;

detecting a first touch input on the terminal;

providing a trace based on a second touch input on a display; and

displaying the trace of the second touch input on the external terminal or the display based on the detected first touch input.

16. The method of claim 15, wherein the first touch input corresponds to selection of one of:

(a) only the display,

(b) only the external terminal, or

(c) both the display and the external terminal.

17. The method of claim 15, wherein in response to the first touch input, while a same content is displayed on both the display and the external terminal, the controller controls the trace of the second touch input to be simultaneously displayed on each of the display and the external terminal.

The method of claim 15, wherein in response to the first touch input, while a same content is displayed on both the display and the external terminal, the trace of the second touch input is displayed only on the external terminal without the trace of the second touch input being displayed on the display.

19. The method of claim 15, wherein in response to the first touch input, while a first content is displayed on the display and a second content is displayed on the external terminal, the trace of the second touch input is displayed on only the display without the trace of the second touch input being displayed on the external terminal.

20. The method of claim 15, further comprising adjusting a displayed position of the trace of the second touch input based on whether the trace of the second touch input is set to be shared.

21. The method of claim 20, wherein when the trace of the second touch input is set to be shared, the trace of the second touch input is simultaneously displayed on both the display and the external terminal, and

wherein when the trace of the second touch input is set not to be shared, the trace of the second touch input is displayed on only the display without the trace of the second touch input being displayed on the external terminal.

22. The method of claim 20, wherein when the trace of the second touch input is set to be shared, the trace of the second touch input is displayed on only the external terminal without the trace of the second touch input being displayed on the display, and

wherein when the trace of the second touch input is set to not be shared, the trace of the second touch input is displayed only on the display without the trace of the second touch input being displayed on the external terminal.

23. A method of a terminal, the method comprising:

providing a wireless communication between the terminal and an external terminal;

determining whether to display, on a display of the terminal, a trace of a first input to the external terminal, wherein the determining is based on a second input to the terminal; and

displaying, on the display, the trace of the first input based on the second input to the terminal.

24. The method of claim 23, wherein the first input corresponds to selection of one of:

(a) only the display,

(b) only the external terminal, or

(c) both the display and the external terminal.

25. The method of claim 23, wherein the determination of whether to display the trace of the first input is based on whether the external terminal has an input authorization.

26. The method of claim 25, wherein when the external terminal has the input authorization, the trace of the first input is displayed on the display, and

wherein when the external terminal does not have the input authorization, the trace of the first input is not displayed on the display.

27. The method of claim 25, further comprising displaying an object that represents the external terminal, wherein displaying the object includes controlling the object to be visually identifiable based on whether the external terminal has the handwriting input authorization.
