Abstract

21. A method for use in a system in a vehicle, the system including a display element, the method comprising:

receiving a signal actuating an automatic parking routine stored in a memory of the system; detecting the positions of surrounding objects relative to the vehicle; displaying the positions of surrounding objects relative to the vehicle on the display element; computing coordinates defining a potential parking space; determining whether it is feasible for the automatic parking routine to park the vehicle in the potential parking space; and if it is determined that it is feasible for the automatic parking routine to park the vehicle in the potential parking space, controlling one or more components of the vehicle to park the vehicle in the potential parking space. - View Dependent Claims (22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29)
