Abstract
An information communication method includes: setting an exposure time of an image sensor to less than or equal to 1/2000 second so that, in an image obtained by capturing a subject by the image sensor, a stripe bright line parallel to a plurality of exposure lines included in the image sensor appears according to a change in luminance of the subject; obtaining the image including the stripe bright line parallel to the plurality of exposure lines by, using the set exposure time, starting exposure sequentially for the plurality of exposure lines each at a different time; and obtaining information by demodulating data according to, in a pattern of the bright line included in the obtained image, a brightness change in a direction perpendicular to the plurality of exposure lines.

5. An information communication method of obtaining information from a subject, using an image sensor including a plurality of exposure lines, the information communication method comprising:
-
obtaining first image data by starting exposure sequentially for the exposure lines included in the image sensor, each at a different time, and capturing the subject using a first exposure time to allow an exposure time of each of the exposure lines to partially overlap, in terms of time, with an exposure time of an adjacent one of the exposure lines; and obtaining information by (i) obtaining second image data by starting exposure sequentially for the exposure lines, each at a different time, and capturing the subject using a second exposure time to allow an exposure time of each of the exposure lines to partially overlap, in terms of time, with an exposure time of an adjacent one of the exposure lines, and (ii) demodulating a bright line pattern which appears in the second image data and corresponds to a different one of the exposure lines, the second exposure time being shorter than the first exposure time, wherein in the obtaining of information, the second exposure time is set to less than or equal to 1/480 second to generate the bright line pattern in the second image data, and the first image data obtained in the obtaining of first image data and the second image data obtained in the obtaining of information are read out using an identical reading method. - View Dependent Claims (6)
