- a matching server system, operatively coupled to a public network, wherein the matching server system is configured to;
present selected stimuli to a plurality of users;
receive recorded responses to the selected stimuli from the plurality of users;
generate match profile data for the plurality of users at least partially from the recorded responses; and
present potential matches to a first user based on a compatibility value generated from correlating the match profile information of the plurality of users with the match profile data of the first user;
wherein the recorded responses comprise at least one passive response that indicates at least one trait or preference of the user that is not self-identified in the recorded response.
