TESTING DEVICE FOR REMOVING CUSTOMER PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE
First Claim
1. A testing device for removing customer personal information (CPI), the testing device comprising:
- a user interface for communicating information and receiving user input;
a plurality of interfaces operable to communicate with the one or more electronic devices;
a memory configured to store a plurality of libraries providing information for detecting and removing CPI from a plurality of electronic devices including a plurality of makes, models, and configurations; and
logic configured to utilize the plurality of libraries to determine whether CPI is included on the one or more electronic devices, record an identification of the one or more electronic devices in response to determining the CPI is included on the one or more electronic devices, remove the CPI from the one or more electronic devices in response to determining the CPI is included on the one or more electronic devices, and report the identification and CPI information of the one or more electronic devices in response to determining the CPI was present on the one or more electronic devices.
