Abstract

An information processing apparatus, which issues a print instruction when a dragged file is dropped on a print object, the apparatus comprises: a layout unit configured to lay out the print object at a first position; and a display control unit configured to display, when the file is dragged, the print object at a second position which is closer to the dragged file than the first position by moving the print object from the first position.

Claims

1. An information processing apparatus, which issues a print instruction when a dragged file is dropped on a print object, said apparatus comprising:

a layout unit configured to lay out the print object at a first position; and

a display control unit configured to display, when the file is dragged, the print object at a second position which is closer to the dragged file than the first position by moving the print object from the first position.

2. The apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a reception unit configured to receive a key input from a user,

wherein when a file is dragged, and said reception unit receives an operation of a first specific key, said display control unit displays the print object at the second position which is closer to the dragged file than the first position by moving the print object from the first position.

3. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein when a user drops a file on the print object or releases dragging after the print object is displayed at the second position, said display controller puts back the print object to the first position.

4. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein when the print object is covered by another object and a second specific key is operated when a file is dragged, said display control unit displays the print object in front of the other object.

5. A control method of an information processing apparatus, which issues a print instruction when a dragged file is dropped on a print object, the method comprising:

a layout step of laying out the print object at a first position; and

a display control step of displaying, when the file is dragged, the print object at a second position which is closer to the dragged file than the first position by moving the print object from the first position.

6. The method according to claim 5, further comprising a reception step of receiving a key input from a user,

wherein in the display control step, when a file is dragged, and an operation of a first specific key is received in the reception step, the print object is displayed at the second position which is closer to the dragged file than the first position by moving the print object from the first position.

7. The method according to claim 5, wherein in the display control step, when a user drops a file on the print object or releases dragging after the print object is displayed at the second position, the print object is put back to the first position.

8. The method according to claim 5, wherein in the display control step, when the print object is covered by another object and a second specific key is operated when a file is dragged, the print object is displayed in front of the other object.

9. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program for controlling a computer, which issues a print instruction when a dragged file is dropped on a print object, to function as:

a layout unit configured to lay out the print object at a first position; and

a display control unit configured to display, when the file is dragged, the print object at a second position which is closer to the dragged file than the first position by moving the print object from the first position.

10. The medium according to claim 9, wherein the program further controls the computer to function as a reception unit configured to receive a key input from a user,

when a file is dragged, and said reception unit receives an operation of a first specific key, said display control unit displays the print object at the second position which is closer to the dragged file than the first position by moving the print object from the first position.

11. The medium according to claim 9, wherein when a user drops a file on the print object or releases dragging after the print object is displayed at the second position, said display controller puts back the print object to the first position.

12. The medium according to claim 9, wherein when the print object is covered by another object and a second specific key is operated when a file is dragged, said display control unit displays the print object in front of the other object.
