Abstract

Recycling of laminate flooring based on a separation of the panels into particles which are connected with a binder and formed to a new sheet shaped material. A building panel includes a surface layer and a wood fiber based core, and the wood fiber based core includes aluminium oxide particles.

21. A building panel comprising a core, a surface layer and a balancing layer, wherein the balancing layer comprises particles from recycled floor panels.

22. The building panel according to claim 21, wherein the core is of HDF.

23. The building panel according to claim 21, wherein the particles from recycled floor panels comprise aluminium oxide particles.

24. The building panel according to claim 21, wherein the particles from recycled floor panels comprises aluminium oxide, melamine particles and wood fibres coated or impregnated with cured binders.

25. The building panel according to claim 21, wherein the particles from recycled floor panels comprises decorative paper, melamine flakes and aluminium oxide particles.

26. The building panel according to claim 21, wherein the balancing layer further comprises virgin fibres or fibres of a type used for manufacturing of MDF or HDF.

27. The building panel according to claim 21, wherein the balancing layer further comprises a binder mixed with the particles from recycled floor panels.

28. The building panel according to claim 21, wherein the building panel is a floorboard.

29. The building panel according to claim 21, wherein the surface layer comprises particles from recycled floor panels.

30. The building panel according to claim 21, wherein the recycled floor panels are recycled laminate floor panels.

31. The building panel according to claim 30, wherein the recycled laminate floor panels are from laminate floor panels comprising a wood fibre based core, a decorative surface layer, the decorative surface layer comprising a thermosetting resin, and aluminium oxide particles.

32. The building panel according to claim 21, further comprising a mechanical locking system.

33. A building panel comprising a core and a surface layer, wherein the surface layer comprises particles from recycled floor panels.

34. The building panel according to claim 33, wherein the particles from recycled floor panels comprise aluminium oxide particles.

35. The building panel according to claim 33, wherein the core is of HDF.

36. A building panel comprising a core, a surface layer and a balancing layer, wherein the core, the surface layer and the balancing layer comprise particles from recycled floor panels.

37. The building panel according to claim 36, wherein the particles from recycled floor panels comprise aluminium oxide.

38. The building panel according to claim 36, wherein the particles from recycled floor panels comprises aluminium oxide, melamine particles and wood fibres coated or impregnated with cured binders.
