Abstract

A system and method of advertising for use on an internet and/or digital networking capable device, wherein the system allows advertisers to use a loading space generated during the initiation of a process on the device to post any media and/or advertising content during the time between when a program or web page is requested and when it actually loads.

Claims

1. A method for displaying advertisement content on an internet capable device, comprising the steps of:

providing an option to a user to initiate a process on the internet capable device;

receiving input from the user to initiate the process on the internet capable device;

loading the process on the internet capable device, wherein the loading includes a loading time delay;

displaying a quantity of advertisement content on a screen of the internet capable device during the loading time delay;

determining that the loading time delay has concluded; and

redirecting the user to the process upon completion of the loading time delay.

2. The method of claim 1, further including stopping the displaying of the quantity of advertisement content on the internet capable device upon determining the loading time delay has concluded.

3. The method of claim 1, further including continuing the displaying of the quantity of advertisement content on the internet capable device upon determining the loading time delay has concluded.

4. The method of claim 3, further including receiving input from the user to stop he displaying of the quantity of advertisement content on the internet capable device.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein displaying a quantity of advertisement content includes displaying a translucent quantity of advertisement content.

6. The method of claim 1, further including providing a content server including the advertising content, communicating with the content server, and transmitting a new packet of advertisement content from the content server to a content cache on the device upon initiation of the loading time delay.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the user can select the quantity of advertisement content during the loading time delay.

8. The method of claim 7, wherein the user selection is recorded.

9. The method of claim 1, wherein the quantity of advertisement is interactive.

10. The method of claim 9, wherein the interactive quantity of advertisement is a game.

11. The method of claim 1, wherein the internet capable device is a mobile device.

12. A method for displaying advertisement content during a time delay process, comprising:

providing a content server including advertising content;

providing a device capable of communication with the content server via the internet;

providing an option to initiate a process on the device;

receiving input from a user on the device to initiate the process;

loading the process, including a loading time delay;

communicating with the content server;

transmitting a new packet of advertisement content from the content server to a content cache on the device upon initiation of the loading time delay;

displaying a quantity of advertisement content on a screen of the device based on initiation of the loading time delay;

determining that the loading time delay has concluded; and

redirecting the user to the process after conclusion of the loading time delay.

13. The method of claim 12, further including stopping the displaying of the quantity of advertisement content on the device upon determining the loading time delay has concluded.

14. The method of claim 12, further including continuing the displaying of the quantity of advertisement content on the device upon determining the loading time delay has concluded.

15. The method of claim 12, wherein the user can select the quantity of advertisement content during the loading time delay.

16. The method of claim 12, wherein the quantity of advertisement is interactive.

17. The method of claim 16, wherein the interactive quantity of advertisement is a game.

19. The method of claim 16, wherein the interactive quantity of advertisement is a game.

18. A method for displaying advertisement content on an internet capable device, comprising the steps of:

providing an option to a user to initiate a process on the internet capable device;

receiving input from the user to initiate the process on the internet capable device;

loading the process on the internet capable device, wherein the loading includes a loading time delay;

displaying an interactive quantity of advertisement content on a screen of the internet capable device during the loading time delay;

determining that the loading time delay has concluded; and

redirecting the user to the process upon completion of the loading time delay.

20. The method of claim 18, wherein the internet capable device is a mobile device.
