1. A display apparatus, comprising:
- a display including an array of pixels formed in rows and columns;
a touch-screen including a transparent dielectric layer having a row side and an opposed column side located over the display, an array of row electrodes formed on the row side and an array of column electrodes formed on the column side;
wherein each of the row electrodes in a layer extends exclusively over all of the pixels in a corresponding row and each of the column electrodes in a layer extends exclusively over all of the pixels in a corresponding column.

A touch-screen including a transparent dielectric layer having a row side and an opposed column side is located over the display. An array of row electrodes are formed on the row side and an array of column electrodes are formed on the column side. Each of the row and column electrodes extends exclusively over all of the pixels in a corresponding row or column.
