Abstract

A system for docking a computer tablet with a docking station. The computer tablet has an asymmetrical edge that is adapted to rest in a cradle portion of the docking station. While resting in the docking station the computer tablet may be rotated to various angles and still maintain electrical connectivity to the docking station.

Claims

1. A docking system for a tablet computer comprising:

a docking station with a recess formed to accept a portion of a tablet computer;

a tablet computer with a cross-section along one of said tablet computer'"'"'s edges that is different from the cross-section of the other edges of said tablet computer; and

a keyboard wirelessly connected to said docking station and said tablet computer.

2. The docking system of claim 1, wherein a portion of said cross-section along one of said tablet computer'"'"'s edges is circular.

3. The docking system of claim 1, wherein said tablet computer is stably at rest in said docking station at a first angle and at a second angle.

4. The docking system of claim 1, wherein said docking station comprises a printer.

5. The docking system of claim 1, wherein said docking station has a first plurality of electrical connectors within said recess.

6. The docking system of claim 5, wherein said tablet computer has a second plurality of electrical connectors contacting said first plurality of electrical connectors within said recess.

7. The docking system of claim 6 wherein said first plurality of electrical connectors and said second plurality of electrical connectors remain in contact at a first angle between said computer tablet and docking station and at a second angle between said computer tablet and docking station.
