Abstract

Methods, systems, and products predict emotional moods. Predicted moods may then be used to configure devices and machinery. A communications device may be configured to a mood of a user. A car may adjust to the mood of an operator. Even assembly lines may be configured, based on the mood of operators. Machinery and equipment may thus adopt performance and safety precautions that account for varying moods.

Claims

8. A method, comprising:

determining a collective mood of a group;

storing associations in memory between moods and configuration parameters;

querying for the configuration parameters associated with the collective mood of the group;

retrieving a configuration parameter associated with the collective mood of the group; and

configuring a device with the at least one configuration parameter,

wherein the device is configured in response to the collective mood of the group.

1. A system, comprising:

a processor; and

memory to store instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations, the operations comprising;

determining a mood of a user of a device;

storing associations between moods and configuration parameters of the device;

querying for a configuration parameter that is associated with the mood of the user; and

configuring the device according to the mood of the user.

2. The system according to claim 1, wherein the instructions cause the processor to perform further operations comprising allocating memory in the device according to the mood of the user.

3. The system according to claim 1, wherein the instructions cause the processor to perform further operations comprising selecting a volume of an output device according to the mood of the user.

4. The system according to claim 1, wherein the instructions cause the processor to perform further operations comprising allocating bandwidth according to the mood of the user.

5. The system according to claim 1, wherein the instructions cause the processor to perform further operations comprising configuring a display according to the mood of the user.

6. The system according to claim 1, wherein the instructions cause the processor to perform further operations comprising storing a prohibited configuration setting associated with the mood of the user.

7. The system according to claim 1, wherein the instructions cause the processor to perform further operations comprising denying a configuration of the device that is prohibited by the mood of the user.

9. The method according to claim 8, further comprising allocating bandwidth in the device according to the collective mood of the group.

10. The method according to claim 9, further comprising increasing the bandwidth in the device when the collective mood of the group satisfies a threshold mood.

11. The method according to claim 9, further comprising decreasing the bandwidth in the device when the collective mood of the group fails to satisfy a threshold mood.

12. The method according to claim 8, further comprising allocating bandwidth in a communications network according to the collective mood of the group.

13. The method according to claim 8, wherein configuring the device comprises configuring a machine in response to the collective mood of the group.

14. The method according to claim 8, further comprising associating the group to multiple devices.

15. The method according to claim 14, further comprising configuring the multiple devices with the at least one configuration parameter according to the collective mood of the group.

16. The computer readable medium according to claim 15, further comprising instructions for allocating bandwidth in the device according to the collective mood of the group.

17. The computer readable medium according to claim 16, further comprising instructions for increasing the bandwidth in the device when the collective mood of the group satisfies a threshold mood.

18. The computer readable medium according to claim 16, further comprising instructions for decreasing the bandwidth in the device when the collective mood of the group fails to satisfy a threshold mood.

19. The computer readable medium according to claim 15, further comprising instructions for allocating bandwidth in a communications network according to the collective mood of the group.

20. The computer readable medium according to claim 15, further comprising instructions for:

associating the group to multiple devices; and

configuring the multiple devices with the configuration parameter according to the collective mood of the group.
