Abstract

A method and system for optimizing internet traffic from a Local Area Network (LAN) to an internet based server utilizes a specific gamer private network (GPN) for the classified latency sensitive internet data. The method includes the steps of creating a gateway computer or a master-slaver computer (device) system within a local area network (LAN), and making this gateway computer control the internet data from any device within the LAN to an outside internet based server. The gateway computer sorts the internet data into various categories, including latency sensitive, bandwidth sensitive and exclusion that is neither latency sensitive nor bandwidth sensitive. Based on these classification results, the internet data within various categories are sent out via the respective routes, so as to achieve a smooth and efficient internet data transmission.

Claims

1. A non-transitory computer-readable medium that stores instructions executable by one or more processors to perform a method for optimizing internet traffic from a local area network (LAN) to an internet based server, comprising

instructions for establishing a local area network;

instructions for selecting a computer in said local area network;

instructions for designating the selected computer as a gateway computer; and

instructions for making said gateway computer control all internet data that are traveling out of said local area network.

2. The non-transitory computer-readable medium that stores instructions executable by one or more processors to perform the method for optimizing internet traffic from a Local Area Network (LAN) to an internet based server as set forth in claim 1, comprising

said local area network comprising computers, mobile devices and game consoles, wherein,

said computers comprising desktop computer and laptop computer, and

said mobile devices comprising tablet device and mobile phone.

3. The non-transitory computer-readable medium that stores instructions executable by one or more processors to perform the method for optimizing internet traffic from a Local Area Network (LAN) to an internet based server as set forth in claim 1, comprising

instructions for directing internet data from any device in said local area network to said gateway computer;

instructions for analyzing said internet data by said gateway computer;

instructions for sorting said internet data into a category by said gateway computer, wherein said category is selected from the group consisting of latency sensitive, bandwidth sensitive and exclusion; and

instructions for sending out said internet data by said gateway computer via a route based on its category.

4. The non-transitory computer-readable medium that stores instructions executable by one or more processors to perform the method for optimizing internet traffic from a Local Area Network (LAN) to an internet based server as set forth in claim 3, comprising

instructions for conducting initial determination whether said internet data are generated by a user'"'"'s input;

instructions for sorting said internet data into the category of latency sensitive if said internet data is generated by the user'"'"'s input; and

instructions for conducting sorting for internet data not being generated by the user'"'"'s input.

5. The non-transitory computer-readable medium that stores instructions executable by one or more processors to perform the method for optimizing internet traffic from a Local Area Network (LAN) to an internet based server as set forth in claim 4, comprising

instructions for establishing a first criterion of a set of internet data features;

instructions for analyzing said internet data not being generated by the user'"'"'s input based on said set of internet data features;

instructions for sorting said internet data not being generated by the user'"'"'s input into the category of latency sensitive, when said internet data not being generated by the user'"'"'s input meet the first criterion; and

instructions for conducting sorting for internet data not being sorted into the category of latency sensitive.

6. The non-transitory computer-readable medium that stores instructions executable by one or more processors to perform the method for optimizing internet traffic from a Local Area Network (LAN) to an internet based server as set forth in claim 5, wherein

said set of internet data features comprising type of internet application, type of data port, destination Internet Protocol (IP) address, quality of service (QOS) classification, type of data packet, bandwidth being used, packet frequency, wherein said type of data packet comprising User Datagram Protocol (UDP) and Transmission Control Protocol (TCP);

said set of internet data features being updated; and

said first criterion being updated.

7. The non-transitory computer-readable medium that stores instructions executable by one or more processors to perform the method for optimizing internet traffic from a Local Area Network (LAN) to an internet based server as set forth in claim 5, comprising

instructions for establishing a second criterion;

instructions for determining whether the internet data not being sorted into the category of latency sensitive are bandwidth sensitive according to said second criterion; and

instructions for sorting said internet data not being sorted into the category of latency sensitive into the category of bandwidth sensitive, when the determination is yes.

8. The non-transitory computer-readable medium that stores instructions executable by one or more processors to perform the method for optimizing internet traffic from a Local Area Network (LAN) to an internet based servers as set forth in claim 7, comprising

instructions for sorting a remaining internet data into a category of exclusion, wherein said remaining internet data do not belong to said category of latency sensitive and said remaining internet data do not belong to said category of bandwidth sensitive.

9. The non-transitory computer-readable medium that stores instructions executable by one or more processors to perform the method for optimizing internet traffic from a Local Area Network (LAN) to an internet based servers as set forth in claim 4, comprising

instructions for routing the internet data in the category of latency sensitive to a latency sensitive route;

instructions for routing the internet data in the category of bandwidth sensitive to a bandwidth sensitive route; and

instructions for excluding the internet data in the category of exclusion from said latency sensitive route and from said bandwidth sensitive route.

10. The non-transitory computer-readable medium that stores instructions executable by one or more processors to perform the method for optimizing internet traffic from a Local Area Network (LAN) to an internet based servers as set forth in claim 4, wherein

said latency sensitive route being a gamer private network (GPN);

said GPN comprising a plurality of computer servers and a plurality of connections between said plurality of computer servers; and

said plurality of computer servers being globally distributed, so as to ensure a connection between the gateway computer that may be located anywhere around the world and the GPN.

11. The non-transitory computer-readable medium that stores instructions executable by one or more processors to perform the method for optimizing internet traffic from a Local Area Network (LAN) to an internet based server as set forth in claim 10, comprising

instructions for continuously monitoring a performance of said GPN;

instructions for sending a feedback of performance back to said gateway computer;

instructions for establishing a performance threshold;

instructions for determining whether the performance of said GPN is acceptable based on said performance threshold; and

instructions for modifying server connections within said GPN if the determination is no.

12. The non-transitory computer-readable medium that stores instructions executable by one or more processors to perform the method for optimizing internet traffic from a Local Area Network (LAN) to an internet based server as set forth in claim 3, further comprising

instructions for identifying internet data of commonly secure connection, so as to dissuade a hacker from using said method, wherein said internet data of commonly secure connection comprising internet data of connection to a virtual private network and internet data of a login;

and

instructions for excluding the identified internet data of commonly secure connection from being sorted and routed by said gateway computer.

13. A non-transitory computer-readable medium that stores instructions executable by one or more processors to perform a method for optimizing internet traffic from a local area network (LAN) to an internet based server, comprising

instructions for establishing a local area network;

instructions for selecting a computer in said local area network;

instructions for designating the selected computer as a gateway computer;

instructions for making said gateway computer control all internet data that are traveling out of said local area network, wherein

said local area network comprising computers, mobile devices and game consoles, wherein,

said computers comprising desktop computer and laptop computer,

said mobile devices comprising tablet device and mobile phone;

instructions for directing internet data from any device in said local area network to said gateway computer;

instructions for analyzing said internet data by said gateway computer;

instructions for identifying internet data of commonly secure connection, so as to dissuade a hacker from using said method, wherein said internet data of commonly secure connection comprising internet data of connection to a virtual private network and internet data of a login;

instructions for excluding the identified internet data of commonly secure connection from being sorted and routed by said gateway computer;

instructions for sorting said internet data into a category by said gateway computer, wherein said category is selected from the group consisting of latency sensitive, bandwidth sensitive and exclusion;

instructions for sending out said internet data by said gateway computer via a route based on its category;

instructions for conducting initial determination whether said internet data are generated by a user'"'"'s input;

instructions for sorting said internet data into the category of latency sensitive if said internet data is generated by the user'"'"'s input; and

instructions for conducting sorting for internet data not being generated by the user'"'"'s input.

14. The non-transitory computer-readable medium that stores instructions executable by one or more processors to perform the method for optimizing internet traffic from a Local Area Network (LAN) to an internet based server as set forth in claim 13, comprising

instructions for establishing a first criterion of a set of internet data features;

instructions for analyzing said internet data not being generated by the user'"'"'s input based on said set of internet data features;

instructions for sorting said internet data not being generated by the user'"'"'s input into the category of latency sensitive, when said internet data not being generated by the user'"'"'s input meet the first criterion;

instructions for conducting sorting for internet data not being sorted into the category of latency sensitive, wherein

said set of internet data features comprising type of internet application, type of data port, destination Internet Protocol (IP) address, quality of service (QOS) classification, type of data packet, bandwidth being used, packet frequency, wherein said type of data packet comprising User Datagram Protocol (UDP) and Transmission Control Protocol (TCP),

said set of internet data features being updated, and

said first criterion being updated;

instructions for establishing a second criterion;

instructions for determining whether the internet data not being sorted into the category of latency sensitive are bandwidth sensitive according to said second criterion;

instructions for sorting said internet data not being sorted into the category of latency sensitive into the category of bandwidth sensitive, when the determination is yes; and

instructions for sorting a remaining internet data into a category of exclusion, wherein said remaining internet data do not belong to said category of latency sensitive and said remaining internet data do not belong to said category of bandwidth sensitive.

15. The non-transitory computer-readable medium that stores instructions executable by one or more processors to perform the method for optimizing internet traffic from a Local Area Network (LAN) to an internet based servers as set forth in claim 13, comprising

instructions for routing the internet data in the category of latency sensitive to a latency sensitive route;

instructions for routing the internet data in the category of bandwidth sensitive to a bandwidth sensitive route;

instructions for excluding the internet data in the category of exclusion from said latency sensitive route and from said bandwidth sensitive route, wherein

said latency sensitive route being a gamer private network (GPN),

said GPN comprising a plurality of computer servers and a plurality of connections between said plurality of computer servers, and

said plurality of computer servers being globally distributed, so as to ensure a connection between the gateway computer that may be located anywhere around the world and the GPN.

16. The non-transitory computer-readable medium that stores instructions executable by one or more processors to perform the method for optimizing internet traffic from a Local Area Network (LAN) to an internet based server as set forth in claim 13, comprising

instructions for continuously monitoring a performance of said GPN;

instructions for sending a feedback of performance back to said gateway computer;

instructions for establishing a performance threshold;

instructions for determining whether the performance of said GPN is acceptable based on said performance threshold; and

instructions for modifying server connections within said GPN if the determination is no.

17. A non-transitory computer-readable medium that stores instructions executable by one or more processors to perform a method for optimizing internet traffic from a local area network (LAN) to an internet based server, comprising

instructions for establishing a local area network;

instructions for assigning a first computer in said local area network as a master device;

instructions for assigning devices in said local area network except said first computer as slave devices;

instructions for said master device controlling data traffic from said slave devices, so as to ensure a balance between data traffic performance and bandwidth, wherein

said local area network comprising computers, mobile devices and game consoles, wherein,

said computers comprising desktop computer and laptop computer,

said mobile devices comprising tablet device and mobile phone;

instructions for directing internet data from any device in said local area network to said master device;

instructions for analyzing said internet data by said master device;

instructions for identifying internet data of commonly secure connection, so as to dissuade a hacker from using said method, wherein said internet data of commonly secure connection comprising internet data of connection to a virtual private network and internet data of a login;

instructions for excluding the identified internet data of commonly secure connection from being sorted and routed by said master device;

instructions for sorting said internet data into a category by said master device, wherein said category is selected from the group consisting of latency sensitive, bandwidth sensitive and exclusion;

instructions for sending out said internet data by said master device via a route based on its category;

instructions for conducting initial determination whether said internet data are generated by a user'"'"'s input;

instructions for sorting said internet data into the category of latency sensitive if said internet data is generated by the user'"'"'s input; and

instructions for conducting sorting for internet data not being generated by the user'"'"'s input.

18. The non-transitory computer-readable medium that stores instructions executable by one or more processors to perform the method for optimizing internet traffic from a Local Area Network (LAN) to an internet based server as set forth in claim 17, comprising

instructions for establishing a first criterion of a set of internet data features;

instructions for analyzing said internet data not being generated by the user'"'"'s input based on said set of internet data features;

instructions for sorting said internet data not being generated by the user'"'"'s input into the category of latency sensitive, when said internet data not being generated by the user'"'"'s input meet the first criterion;

instructions for conducting sorting for internet data not being sorted into the category of latency sensitive, wherein

said set of internet data features comprising type of internet application, type of data port, destination Internet Protocol (IP) address, quality of service (QOS) classification, type of data packet, bandwidth being used, packet frequency, wherein said type of data packet comprising User Datagram Protocol (UDP) and Transmission Control Protocol (TCP),

said set of internet data features being updated, and

instructions for determining whether the internet data not being sorted into the category of latency sensitive are bandwidth sensitive according to said second criterion;

instructions for sorting said internet data not being sorted into the category of latency sensitive into the category of bandwidth sensitive, when the determination is yes; and

instructions for sorting a remaining internet data into a category of exclusion, wherein said remaining internet data do not belong to said category of latency sensitive and said remaining internet data do not belong to said category of bandwidth sensitive.

19. The non-transitory computer-readable medium that stores instructions executable by one or more processors to perform the method for optimizing internet traffic from a Local Area Network (LAN) to an internet based servers as set forth in claim 17, comprising

instructions for routing the internet data in the category of latency sensitive to a latency sensitive route;

instructions for routing the internet data in the category of bandwidth sensitive to a bandwidth sensitive route;

instructions for excluding the internet data in the category of exclusion from said latency sensitive route and from said bandwidth sensitive route, wherein

said latency sensitive route being a gamer private network (GPN),

said GPN comprising a plurality of computer servers and a plurality of connections between said plurality of computer servers, and

said plurality of computer servers being globally distributed, so as to ensure a connection between the master device that may be located anywhere around the world and the GPN.

20. The non-transitory computer-readable medium that stores instructions executable by one or more processors to perform the method for optimizing internet traffic from a Local Area Network (LAN) to an internet based server as set forth in claim 17, comprising

instructions for continuously monitoring a performance of said GPN;

instructions for sending a feedback of performance back to said master device;

instructions for establishing a performance threshold;

instructions for determining whether the performance of said GPN is acceptable based on said performance threshold; and

instructions for modifying server connections within said GPN if the determination is no.
