Abstract

A smart phone includes photoelectric pulse wave sensing units that obtain photoelectric pulse wave signals from hands holding the smart phone, a touch screen on which a plurality of operation switches that accept operations performed by thumbs are displayed, and a switch arrangement changing unit that changes the arrangement of the displayed plurality of operation switches. The switch arrangement changing unit, when photoelectric pulse wave signals are obtained by the photoelectric pulse wave sensing units, changes the arrangement of the operation switches displayed on the touch screen in such a manner that the operation switches are arranged along a circular arc of a virtual circle whose center is located at a carpometacarpal joint of the thumb of a right hand performing operations and whose radius is the distance from the carpometacarpal joint to the tip of the thumb.

Claims

1. A mobile apparatus comprising:

a biosensor configured to detect a biosignal from a hand of a user holding the mobile apparatus; and

a touch screen configured to display at least one operation switch for receiving an input signal from at least one digit of the hand,

wherein the at least one operation switch is displayed on the touch screen at a display position that is determined in response to the detected biosignal.

The mobile apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the digit is a thumb of the hand and the display position of the least one operation switch is arranged along a circular arc of a virtual circle having a center point at a carpometacarpal joint of the thumb and a radius with a length that is a distance from the carpometacarpal joint to a tip of the thumb.

3. The mobile apparatus according to claim 2, wherein the touch screen displays a plurality of operations switches at a plurality of displays positions arranged along the circular arc.

4. The mobile apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the least one operation switch does not accept the input signal from the at least one digit of the hand when the biosignal is detected by the biosensor.

The mobile apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a switch arrangement unit configured to change the display position for the at least one operation switch such that the at least one operation switch is displayed at a display position for receiving the input signal by a digit of a hand from which the biosignal is not being detected by the biosensor.

The mobile apparatus according to claim 5, wherein the digit is a thumb of the hand from which the biosignal is not being detected and the display position of the least one operation switch is arranged along a circular arc of a virtual circle having a center point located at a carpometacarpal joint of the thumb of the hand from which the biosignal is not being detected and a radius with a length that is a distance from the carpometacarpal joint to a tip of the thumb.

7. The mobile apparatus according to claim 6, wherein the touch screen displays a plurality of operations switches at a plurality of displays positions arranged along the circular arc.

8. The mobile apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a holding hand determination unit configured to determine based on the detected biosignal whether the hand holding the mobile apparatus is a left hand or a right hand of the user.

9. The mobile apparatus according to claim 8, wherein the at least one operation switch is displayed on the touch screen at the display position based on whether the holding hand determination unit determines that the hand is the right hand or the left hand of the user.

The mobile apparatus according to claim 9, wherein the digit is a thumb of the hand holding the mobile apparatus and the display position of the least one operation switch is arranged along a circular arc of a virtual circle having a center point at a carpometacarpal joint of the thumb and a radius with a length that is a distance from the carpometacarpal joint to a tip of the thumb.

11. The mobile apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising:

a position information obtaining unit configured to obtain position information of a region on the touch screen touched by the digit; and

a position region setting unit configured to set a target region on the basis of the obtained position information,

wherein the at least one operation switch is displayed at a display position that overlaps with the target region.

12. A mobile apparatus comprising:

a plurality of biosensors configured to detect biosignals respectively from a left hand and a right hand of a user holding the mobile apparatus;

a biosignal selection unit configured to selectively output biosignals detected by the respective biosensors; and

a touch screen configured to display a plurality of operation switches for receiving input signals from respective digits of the left hand and the right hand,

wherein the plurality of operation switches are displayed on the touch screen at a plurality of respective display positions that are determined in response to the outputted biosignals.

13. The mobile apparatus according to claim 12,

wherein the respective digits are thumbs of the left hand and the right hand, and

wherein respective display positions of the plurality of operation switches are arranged along circular arcs of a pair of virtual circle having respective center points at carpometacarpal joints of each of the thumbs and radiuses with lengths that are respective distance from the carpometacarpal joints to a tip of the thumbs.

14. The mobile apparatus according to claim 12, further comprising a switch arrangement changing unit configured to change the display positions of the plurality of operation switches respectively for the left hand and the right hand.

15. The mobile apparatus according to claim 12, further comprising an operation frequency obtaining unit configured to obtain operation frequencies of respective input signals from the left hand and the right hand,

wherein the biosignal selection unit preferentially selects and outputs a biosignal obtained from one of the left hand and the right hand, whose operation frequency is lower.

16. The mobile apparatus according to claim 12, further comprising a holding hand determination unit configured to determine whether the hand holding the mobile apparatus is the left hand or the right hand of the user based on the detected biosignal.

The mobile apparatus according to claim 16, wherein at least one operation switch of the plurality of operation switches is displayed on the touch screen at the display position based on whether the holding hand determination unit determines that the hand is the left or the right hand of the user.

The mobile apparatus according to claim 17, wherein the digit is a thumb of the hand holding the mobile apparatus and the display position of the least one operation switch is arranged along a circular arc of a virtual circle having a center point at a carpometacarpal joint of the thumb and a radius with a length that is a distance from the carpometacarpal joint to a tip of the thumb.

19. The mobile apparatus according to claim 12, further comprising:

a position information unit configured to obtain position information of a region on the touch screen touched by the respective digits of the right and left hands; and

a position region setting unit configured to set a target region on the basis of the obtained position information,

wherein the at least one of the plurality of operation switches is displayed at a display position that overlaps the region.
