A method in a network node for preparing powering down of a first module of a controlling part comprised in the network node, wherein the network node also comprises a radio transceiving part, and wherein the controlling part is configured to run processes for controlling radio transmission over the radio transceiving part, which controlling part further comprises a second module, the method comprising:
- determining to power down the first module of the controlling part,identifying a process in the first module that is utilized for controlling radio transmission over a common channel in the radio transceiving part,mirroring the identified process in the first module over to the second module of the controlling part,switching to control the radio transmission over the common channel in the radio transceiving part from the mirrored process running on the second module.
