Abstract

An approach is provided for generating a relevant social graph. A social graph identifying people associated with a user is retrieved. A communication history from a device associated with the user is retrieved. Information regarding a respective occurrence of each identified person in the communication history is determined. A relevant social graph is generated based, at least in part, on the determined occurrence information.

Claims

1. A method comprising:

processing and/or facilitating a processing of social networking information associated with a user;

causing, at least in part, a generation of a social graph based, at least in part, on one or more identified users included in a communication history retrieved from a device associated with the user;

causing, at least in part, a storage of a status of the one or more identified users based, at least in part, on a time parameter selectable by the user; and

causing, at least in part, a scrolling presentation of the one or more identified users across a graphical user interface,

wherein the scrolling presentation is based, at least in part, on the time parameter.
