- detecting a touch gesture;
analyzing at least one of a contact position, a movement direction, a contact area size, a contact area shape, and an occurrence frequency of the touch gesture;
determining one of a left hand grip state and right hand grip state of the device based on a result of the analysis; and
displaying a user interface corresponding to the determined one of the left hand grip state and the right hand grip state.
