A system for personalized data collection in the field of physical training, wellness and fitness comprising at least one exercise instrument, a wireless network and an interrelated set of at least two radio frequency identification (RFID) enabled devices, wherein at least one RFID enabled device is attached to the exercise instrument and at least a second RFID device is capable of receiving and transmitting the information set by the at least one RFID device attached to the exercise instrument.
