Abstract

Provided is reporting one or more long term CSI components to an eNode B, wherein at least one long term CSI component being reported with multiple values; and reporting a transmission scheme assumption indicator (TSAI) together with a set of short term CSI components to the eNode B, wherein the TSAI indicating the eNode B of a value of the multiple values of the at least one long term CSI component to be currently used and of the set of short term CSI components being conditioned on the value indicated by the TSAI, wherein the short term CSI components being reported more frequently.

Claims

1. A wireless communication method of reporting channel state information (CSI), comprising steps of:

reporting one or more long term CSI components to an eNode B, wherein at least one long term CSI component being reported with multiple values; and

reporting a transmission scheme assumption indicator (TSAI) together with a set of short term CSI components to the eNode B, wherein the TSAI indicating the eNode B of a value of the multiple values of the at least one long term CSI component to be currently used and of the set of short term CSI components being conditioned on the value indicated by the TSAI,

wherein the short term CSI components being reported more frequently.

2. The wireless communication method according to claim 1, wherein the short term CSI components and the TSAI are jointly encoded and reported within one subframe.

3. The wireless communication method according to claim 2, wherein zero padding is used in the one subframe when the short term CSI components are reported.

4. The wireless communication method according to claim 3, wherein the first bit(s) is (are) used to report the TSAI when the TSAI is reported together with the short term CSI components.

5. The wireless communication method according to claim 1, wherein all the multiple values of the at least one long term CSI component are encoded and reported within the same subframe.

6. The wireless communication method according to claim 1, wherein the multiple values of the at least one long term CSI component are encoded and reported in different subframes.

The wireless communication method according to claim 1, wherein more than one values of the TSAI are grouped 5 to correspond to one value of the at least one long term CSI component when the number of values of the TSAI is larger than the number of the multiple values of the at least one long term CSI component.

8. The wireless communication method according to claim 1, wherein the at least one long term CSI component includes rank indicator (RI), and the short term CSI components include precoding matrix indicator (PMI) and/or channel quality indicator (CQI).

9. The wireless communication method according to claim 1, wherein the one or more long term CSI components include precoding type indicator (PTI), and the at least one long term CSI component includes rank indicator (RI);

if the PTI is equal to 0, the at least one long term CSI component further includes first PMI (W1), and the short term CSI components include wideband second PMI (W-W2) and wideband CQI (W-CQI);

if the PTI is equal to 1, the at least one long term CSI component further includes W-CQI and W-W2, and the short term CSI components include subband second PMI (S-W2) and subband CQI (S-CQI); and

the RI is jointly encoded with the PTI.

10. The wireless communication method according to claim 1, wherein the one or more long term CSI components include rank indicator (RI) and precoding type indicator (PTI), but the RI and PTI are reported with only one value respectively;

if the PTI is equal to 0, the at least one long term CSI component includes first PMI (W1), and the short term CSI components include wideband second PMI (W-W2) and wideband CQI (W-CQI);

if the PTI is equal to 1, the at least one long term CSI component includes WCQI and W-W2, and the short term 5 CSI components include subband second PMI (SW2) and subband CQI (S-CQI); and

the RI is jointly encoded with the PTI.

11. The wireless communication method according to claim 8, wherein the one or more long term CSI components further include a point indicator (PI), and the PI is reported less frequently than the RI.

12. The wireless communication method according to claim 1, wherein the at least one long term CSI component includes rank indicator (RI) and first PMI (W1), and the short term CSI components include second PMI (W2) and channel quality indicator (CQI).

13. The wireless communication method according to claim 12, wherein the RI is jointly or separately encoded with W1.

14. The wireless communication method according to claim 1, wherein the one or more long term CSI components include rank indicator (RI), but the RI is reported with only one value;

the at least one long term CSI component includes first PMI (W1); and

the short term CSI components include second PMI (W2) and channel quality indicator (CQI).

15. A user equipment (UE) of reporting channel state information (CSI), comprising:

a long term CSI reporting unit configured to report one or more long term CSI components to an eNode B, wherein at least one long term CSI component being reported with multiple values; and

a short term CSI reporting unit configured to report a transmission scheme assumption indicator (TSAI) together with a 5 set of short term CSI components to the eNode B, wherein the TSAI indicating the eNode B of a value of the multiple values of the at least one long term CSI component to be currently used and of the set of short term CSI components being conditioned on the value indicated by the TSAI,

wherein the short term CSI components being reported more frequently.

29. A wireless communication method of receiving channel state information (CSI), comprising steps of:

receiving subframes containing one or more long term CSI components from a user equipment (UE), wherein at least one long term CSI component having multiple values; and

receiving subframes containing a set of short term CSI components and a transmission scheme assumption indicator (TSAI) from the UE, wherein the TSAI indicating a value of the multiple values of the at least one long term CSI component to be currently used and the set of short term CSI components being conditioned on the value indicated by the TSAI.

30. An eNode B of receiving channel state information (CSI), comprising:

a long term CSI receiving unit configured to receive subframes containing one or more long term CSI components from a user equipment (UE), wherein at least one long term CSI component having multiple values; and

a short term CSI receiving unit configured to receive subframes containing a set of short term CSI components and a transmission scheme assumption indicator (TSAI) from the UE, wherein the TSAI indicating a value of the multiple values of the at least one long term CSI component to be currently used and the set of short term CSI components being conditioned on the value indicated by the TSAI.

31. A wireless communication method of reporting channel state information (CSI), comprising steps of:

reporting a set of CSI components including a rank indicator (RI), a precoding matrix indicator (PMI), and a channel quality indicator (CQI), together with a transmission scheme assumption indicator (TSAI) to an eNode B,

wherein the TSAI indicating the eNode B of the PMI and the CQI being conditioned on the RI and the TSAI, and

the set of CSI components and the TSAI being jointly encoded and reported within one subframe.

32. A user equipment (UE) of reporting channel state information (CSI), comprising:

a reporting unit configured to report a set of CSI components including a rank indicator (RI), a precoding matrix indicator (PMI), and a channel quality indicator (CQI), together with a transmission scheme assumption indicator (TSAI) to an eNode B,

wherein the TSAI indicating the eNode B of the PMI and the CQI being conditioned on the RI and the TSAI, and

the set of CSI components and the TSAI being jointly encoded and reported within one subframe.

33. A wireless communication method of receiving channel state information (CSI), comprising steps of:

receiving subframes containing a set of CSI components and a transmission scheme assumption indicator (TSAI) from a user equipment (UE),

wherein the set of CSI components including a rank indicator (RI), a precoding matrix indicator (PMI), and a channel quality indicator (CQI),

the TSAI indicating the PMI and the CQI being conditioned on the RI and the TSAI, and

the set of CSI components and the TSAI being jointly encoded and reported within one subframe.

34. An eNode B of receiving channel state information (CSI), comprising:

a receiving unit configured to receive subframes containing a set of CSI components and a transmission scheme assumption indicator (TSAI) from a user equipment (UE),

wherein the set of CSI components including a rank indicator (RI), a precoding matrix indicator (PMI), and a channel quality indicator (CQI),

the TSAI indicating the PMI and the CQI being conditioned on the RI and the TSAI, and

the set of CSI components and the TSAI being jointly encoded and reported within one subframe.
