1. A method for recommending whether a pilot should land an aircraft, the method comprising:

  • acquiring by a processor current weather data from a flight management system, the weather data selected from at least one of the group consisting of outside temperature, pressure, cloud conditions, angle, wind shear, turbulence, storms, precipitation information, ice and snow condition, runway surface coefficient, and standing water on the runway;

    comparing by the processor evaluated current weather data to a threshold; and

    providing a risk assessment to the pilot of landing the aircraft in consideration of the weather conditions and the comparison of the current weather data to the threshold.
