- detecting the presence of a mobile computing device of a guest at a location within a hotel;
audibly outputting a request from the mobile computing device, the request based on the location;
receiving vocal input from the guest in response to the request; and
transmitting a communication based on the vocal input from the guest to another computer system.

The personal concierge can be provided in the form of a mobile application.
