1. A method for mapping and routing a URL accessible by a computing device comprising the steps of:
- preparing routing instructions for the URL including specifying one or more destination landing pages and one or more alternate landing pages based on one or more conditions;
receiving device information from the computing device used to access the URL;
analyzing the device information against the routing instructions;
identifying a destination landing page based on the routing instructions;
identifying an alternate landing page based on the routing instructions;
executing the routing instructions to direct the computing device to access the destination landing page;
determining whether the destination landing page was accessed; and
if the destination landing page was not accessed, directing the computing device to access the alternate landing page.

A uniform resource locator (URL) mapping and routing system and method for generating, routing, and managing URLs is used to route internet users to application landing pages or websites based on a URL mapping scheme. Routing instructions for the URL may route a user accessing a URL to a destination landing page or an alternate landing page depending on routing instructions in the URL mapping scheme.
