Abstract

A domestic appliance includes at least one antenna which is integrated in a handle of the domestic appliance or arranged on a non-conductive wall region. The handle may constitute a door handle, or the at least one antenna may also be integrated in an additional handle of the domestic appliance.

13. A domestic appliance, comprising:

a handle;

a non-conductive wall area; and

at least one antenna placed in at least one of two ways, a first way in which the at least one antenna is integrated into the handle, a second way in which the at least one antenna is arranged on the non-conductive wall area.

14. The domestic appliance of claim 13, wherein the handle is a door handle.

15. The domestic appliance of claim 13, further comprising an additional handle, wherein the handle is the additional handle in which the at least one antenna is integrated.

16. The domestic appliance of claim 13, wherein the at least one antenna is embodied as at least one rod antenna.

17. The domestic appliance of claim 13, further comprising a conductive wall area, said non-conductive wall area being embodied as at least one recess in the conductive wall area.

18. The domestic appliance of claim 13, wherein the non-conductive wall area is a non-conductive cover.

19. The domestic appliance of claim 18, wherein the non-conductive cover is configured to provide a viewing window.

20. The domestic appliance of claim 18, wherein the non-conductive cover is configured as a panel cover.

21. The domestic appliance of claim 13, wherein the at least one antenna includes at least one patch antenna.

22. The domestic appliance of claim 13, wherein the at least one antenna includes at least one slot antenna.

23. The domestic appliance of claim 13, further comprising an outer wall made of metal.

24. The domestic appliance of claim 13, further comprising an oven.

25. The domestic appliance of claim 24, wherein the oven is a microwave oven or a baking oven.
