Abstract

Treatment system (1) for a patient, preferably for performing a dialysis treatment, comprising a medical apparatus (2), preferably a dialysis apparatus, having a communication device (3) which is configured to emit a wireless interrogation signal and receive a wireless identification signal, and an identification device (4) which can be carried by an operator (100) to identify said operator (100), wherein the identification device (4) is configured to send a wireless identification signal to the medical apparatus (2).

Claims

1. Treatment system (1) for a patient, preferably for performing a dialysis treatment, comprising a medical apparatus (2), preferably a dialysis apparatus, having a communication device (3) which is configured to emit a wireless interrogation signal and receive a wireless identification signal, and an identification device (4) which can be carried by an operator (100) to identify said operator (100), wherein the identification device (4) is configured to send a wireless identification signal to the medical apparatus (2).

2. Treatment system (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the identification device (4) is formed as a watch, a pager, a mobile phone, or a portable computer, preferably a tablet PC.

Treatment system (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the communication device (3) of the medical apparatus (2) and the identification device (4) are configured to communicate with each other via a common wireless radio standard, preferably via WLAN, Bluetooth, ZigBee or another wireless radio standard and/or in that the communication device (3) of the medical apparatus (2) and the identification device (4) are configured to communicate with each other via an infra-red signal.

4. Treatment system (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the medical apparatus (2) is configured to emit an interrogation signal to request an identification signal periodically and/or when an attempt is made to change parameters of the medical apparatus (2).

5. Treatment system (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the identification device (4) is configured to emit an identification signal periodically and/or after reception of an interrogation signal from the communication device (3) of the medical apparatus (2).

Treatment system (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the communication device (3) of the medical apparatus (2) is configured to be operated with a low transmission power, preferably a transmission power in the microwatt range, in order to request identification data in the immediate vicinity, and with a high transmission power, preferably a transmission power in the milliwatt range, in order to emit an alarm signal.

Treatment system (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the communication device (3) is configured to send an interrogation signal to all identification devices (4) located within a distance R1 around the medical apparatus (2), and to send an alarm signal to all identification devices (4) located within a distance R2 around the medical apparatus (2), wherein the distance R1 is significantly less than the distance R2.

Treatment system (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the identification device (4) comprises an alerting device (42), preferably in the form of acoustic and/or optical signaling, wherein the communication device (3) of the medical apparatus (2) is particularly preferably configured to transmit both an alarm signal and the reason for the alert and/or the location of the medical apparatus (2) to the identification device (4), and the reason for the alert and/or the location of the medical apparatus (2) is displayed by the identification device (4).

Treatment system (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that an authorization database (5) is provided, and the medical apparatus (2) is configured to access the authorization database (5) when in receipt of an identification signal from an identification device (4) and to allow or block operation of certain operating parameters or the entire medical apparatus (2) depending on the authorizations stored in the authorization database (5), wherein the authorization database (5) is either provided locally in the medical apparatus (2) or is accessible via a network access.

Treatment system (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the medical apparatus (3) is configured to be operable only if an appropriate identification signal is received, and preferably so configured that parameters of the medical apparatus (2) can be changed only if an appropriate identification signal is received.

11. Treatment system (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that a log database (26) is provided and the medical apparatus (3) is configured to log, in the log database (26), operating accesses and the identities of the operators who effect the operating accesses.

Medical apparatus (2), preferably a dialysis apparatus, for a treatment system (1) according to claim 1, characterized by a communication device (3) configured to emit a wireless interrogation signal and receive a wireless identification signal from an identification device (4) carried by an operator (100).

Medical apparatus (2) according to claim 12, characterized in that the communication device (3) of the medical apparatus (2) is configured to request identification data in the immediate vicinity with a low transmission power, preferably a transmission power in the microwatt range, and to emit an alarm signal with a high transmission power, preferably a transmission power in the milliwatt range.

Portable identification device (4) for identifying an operator of a medical apparatus (2) for a treatment system (1) according to claim 1, characterized by a communication device (40) configured to receive a wireless interrogation signal and send a wireless identification signal to a medical apparatus (2) in response to the interrogation signal.

Portable identification device (4) according to claim 14, characterized in that an alerting device (42) is provided, preferably in the form of acoustic and/or optical signaling, wherein the alerting device (42) is particularly preferably configured to display both an alarm signal and the reason for the alert and/or the location of the medical apparatus (2) that issues the alert.

16. Portable identification device (4) for identifying an operator of a medical apparatus (2) for a treatment system (1) according to claim 1, characterized by a communication device (40) configured to emit periodically a wireless identification signal, preferably with a low transmission power.

17. Method for identifying an operator (100) of a medical apparatus (2) for a treatment system (1) according to claim 1, comprising the steps of:

wireless emission of an interrogation signal by a communication device (3) of the medical apparatus (2) to at least one identification device (4) carried by and identifying an operator (100);

reception in the communication device (3) of the medical apparatus (2) of a wireless identification signal sent in response to the received interrogation signal;

identification of the operator (100) based on the received identification signal.

Method according to claim 17, characterized in that an authorization database (5) is provided which is accessed after identification of the operator (100), and in that operation of certain parameters or the entire medical apparatus (2) is allowed or blocked depending on the authorizations stored in the authorization database (5) for the identified operator (100).

19. Method for emitting an identification signal from an identification device (4), which is carried by and identifies an operator (100), for a treatment system (1) according to claim 1, comprising the steps of:

reception of a wireless interrogation signal emitted from a medical apparatus (2) in a communication device (40) of the identification device (4); and

wireless emission of an identification signal in response to the received interrogation signal by the communication device (40) of the identification device (4).

20. Method for emitting an identification signal from an identification device (4), which is carried by and identifies an operator (100), for a treatment system (1) according to claim 1, comprising the step of:

periodic emission of a wireless identification signal for reception in the communication device (3) of a medical apparatus (2).

21. Computer program that can be loaded into the internal memory store of a control device (6) of the medical apparatus (3) and comprises software code sections by means of which the steps of the method according to claim 17 are executed when the computer program runs on the control device (6).

22. Computer program product stored in a data medium that can be inserted in a computer, comprising computer readable program means with which a computer can execute the method according to claim 17.
