Abstract

A method of controlling, by using a mobile terminal, at least one Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) device is provided. The method includes searching for at least one BLE device, displaying a BLE device list, including the at least one searched for BLE device, on a display unit of the mobile terminal, receiving an input of selection of a BLE device from the BLE device list, receiving an input of user added information from a user regarding the selected BLE device, and mapping and storing property information and the user added information regarding the selected BLE device.

Claims

1. A method of controlling, by using a mobile terminal, at least one Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) device, the method comprising:

searching for at least one BLE device;

displaying a BLE device list including the at least one searched for BLE device on a display unit of the mobile terminal;

receiving an input of selection of a BLE device from the BLE device list;

receiving an input of user added information from a user regarding the selected BLE device; and

mapping and storing property information and the user added information regarding the selected BLE device.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the searching for the at least one BLE device comprises receiving identification information, which comprises property information, from the searched for at least one BLE device.

3. The method of claim 2, wherein the property information comprises at least one from among color information, shape information, image information, and sensor information regarding the searched for at least one BLE device.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the displaying of the BLE device list further comprises:

receiving color information from the searched for at least one BLE device; and

displaying the BLE device list by applying color, according to the received color information, to the BLE device which has transmitted the color information.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the displaying of the BLE device list comprises:

extracting one or more BLE devices, which are unregistered in the mobile terminal, from among the searched for at least one BLE device; and

displaying a list of the extracted one or more BLE devices.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the displaying of the BLE device list comprises:

comparing information about the searched for at least one BLE device to information about stored registered BLE devices; and

based on a result of the comparing, displaying unregistered BLE devices and the registered BLE devices separately on the BLE device list.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the user added information comprises at least one from among an ID, a nickname, a category, a memo, and notification information which are input by a user with regard to the selected BLE device.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein the receiving of the input of the user added information comprises obtaining an image of an object, which corresponds to the selected BLE device, through a camera.

9. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

displaying a registered BLE device list of one or more BLE devices which are registered in the mobile terminal;

receiving a selection made by the user of at least one registered BLE device from the registered BLE device list; and

providing profile information which comprises user added information regarding the selected registered BLE device.

10. The method of claim 9, wherein the providing of the profile information comprises:

receiving sensing information detected by the selected registered BLE device from the selected registered BLE device for a predetermined period; and

displaying the received sensing information.

11. The method of claim 9, wherein the providing of the profile information comprises:

determining information of a distance between the selected registered BLE device and the mobile terminal, based on a strength of a signal received from the selected registered BLE device; and

displaying the determined distance information.

12. The method of claim 9, further comprising:

updating the profile information regarding the selected registered BLE device.

25. A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium having recorded thereon a computer program configured to execute the method of claim 1.

13. A mobile terminal, the mobile terminal comprising:

a communication unit configured to search for at least one Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) device;

a display unit configured to display a BLE device list including the at least one searched for BLE device;

a user input unit configured to receive an input of a selection of a BLE device from the BLE device list and to receive an input of user added information from a user regarding the selected BLE device; and

a control unit configured to map and store property information and the user added information regarding the selected BLE device in a memory.

14. The mobile terminal of claim 13, wherein the communication unit receives identification information, which comprises property information, from among the searched for at least one BLE device.

15. The mobile terminal of claim 14, wherein the property information comprises at least one from among color information, shape information, image information, and sensor information regarding the searched for at least one BLE device.

16. The mobile terminal of claim 13, wherein the communication unit receives color information from the searched for at least one BLE device, and

wherein the display unit displays the BLE device list by applying color, according to the received color information, to the BLE device which has transmitted the color information.

17. The mobile terminal of claim 13, wherein the control unit extracts one or more BLE devices, which are unregistered in the mobile terminal, from among the searched for at least one BLE device, and displays a list of the extracted one or more BLE devices in the display unit.

The mobile terminal of claim 13, wherein the control unit compares information about the searched for at least one BLE device to information about registered stored BLE devices, and based on a result of the comparing, displays unregistered BLE devices and the registered BLE devices separately on the BLE device list.

19. The mobile terminal of claim 13, wherein the user added information comprises at least one from among an ID, a nickname, a category, a memo, and notification information which are input by a user with regard to the selected BLE device.

20. The mobile terminal of claim 13, wherein the user added information comprises an image of an object which corresponds to the selected BLE device, and

wherein the control unit obtains the image of the object through a camera, based on a user input.

21. The mobile terminal of claim 13, wherein the display unit displays a registered BLE device list of one or more BLE devices which are registered in the mobile terminal,

wherein the user input unit receives an input of a selection made by the user of at least one registered BLE device from the registered BLE device list, and

wherein the control unit provides profile information which comprises user added information regarding the selected registered BLE device.

22. The mobile terminal of claim 21, wherein the communication unit receives sensing information detected by the selected registered BLE device from the selected registered BLE device for a predetermined period, and

wherein the display unit displays the received sensing information.

23. The mobile terminal of claim 21, wherein the control unit determines information of a distance between the selected registered BLE device and the mobile terminal, based on a strength of a signal received from the selected registered BLE device, and

wherein the display unit displays the determined distance information.

24. The mobile terminal of claim 21, wherein the control unit updates profile information regarding the selected registered BLE device.

26. A method of controlling, by using a mobile terminal, at least one Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) device, the method comprising:

searching for at least one BLE device;

displaying a BLE device list including the at least one searched-for BLE device on a display unit of the mobile terminal;

receiving an input selecting of a BLE device from the BLE device list;

receiving an input of notification information regarding the selected BLE device; and

mapping and storing the selected BLE device and the notification information.

27. The method of claim 26, further comprising:

when the selected BLE device is searched for again after the mapping and storing, displaying the notification information.
