- detecting and recording movement of a human body by use of a motion detection component, the motion detection component including circuitry for detecting and recording movement of the motion detection component, the motion detection component including a display defined to provide a visual indication of an amount of movement recorded by the circuitry, the motion detection component included in a band defined to secure to a part of the human body;
recording the movement of the human body as detected by the motion detection component; and
displaying a recorded amount of movement of the human body on the display.

A motion detection component is operated to detect movement of a human body. The motion detection component includes circuitry for detecting and recording movement of the motion detection component. The motion detection component includes a display defined to provide a visual indication of an amount of movement recorded by the circuitry. The motion detection component is included in a band defined to secure to a part of the human body. The movement of the human body as detected by the motion detection component is recorded. A recorded amount of movement of the human body is displayed on the display of the motion detection component.
