Abstract

Systems, methods, and apparatus for use with at least one virtual agent. In some embodiments, the at least one virtual agent is programmed to: analyze first input provided by a first user during a multiparty conversation; analyze second input provided by a second user during the multiparty conversation, the second user being different from the first user; and use the first and second inputs to formulate at least one task to be performed by the virtual agent.

Claims

1. An apparatus comprising at least one processor programmed by one or more executable instructions to implement at least one virtual agent, the at least one virtual agent being programmed to:

analyze first input provided by a first user during a multiparty conversation;

analyze second input provided by a second user during the multiparty conversation, the second user being different from the first user; and

use the first and second inputs to formulate at least one task to be performed by the virtual agent.

2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the at least one virtual agent is further programmed to:

perform the at least one task formulated based at least in part on the first and second inputs.

3. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the at least one virtual agent is further programmed to:

provide a result of performing the at least one task to at least one third user participating in the multiparty conversation.

4. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the at least one processor is further programmed to:

monitor the multiparty conversation while the multiparty conversation is ongoing; and

in response to detecting a trigger in the multiparty conversation, inject the at least one virtual agent into the multiparty conversation.

5. The apparatus of claim 4, wherein the trigger comprises an expression designated for invoking the at least one virtual agent.

6. The apparatus of claim 4, wherein the at least one virtual agent is further programmed to:

analyze at least one portion of the multiparty conversation to identify the first input as being from the first user and the second input as being from the second user.

7. A method performed by at least one processor in connection with at least one virtual agent, the method comprising acts of:

analyzing first input provided by a first user during a multiparty conversation;

analyzing second input provided by a second user during the multiparty conversation, the second user being different from the first user; and

using the first and second inputs to formulate at least one task to be performed by the virtual agent.

8. The method of claim 7, further comprising:

performing the at least one task formulated based at least in part on the first and second inputs.

9. The method of claim 7, further comprising:

providing a result of performing the at least one task to at least one third user participating in the multiparty conversation.

10. The method of claim 7, further comprising:

monitoring the multiparty conversation while the multiparty conversation is ongoing; and

in response to detecting a trigger in the multiparty conversation, injecting the at least one virtual agent into the multiparty conversation.

11. The method of claim 10, wherein the trigger comprises an expression designated for invoking the at least one virtual agent.

12. The method of claim 10, further comprising:

analyzing at least one portion of the multiparty conversation to identify the first input as being from the first user and the second input as being from the second user.

13. At least one computer-readable medium having encoded thereon instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, perform a method for use in connection with at least one virtual agent, the method comprising acts of:

analyzing first input provided by a first user during a multiparty conversation;

analyzing second input provided by a second user during the multiparty conversation, the second user being different from the first user; and

using the first and second inputs to formulate at least one task to be performed by the virtual agent.

14. The at least one computer-readable medium of claim 13, wherein the method further comprises:

performing the at least one task formulated based at least in part on the first and second inputs.

15. The at least one computer-readable medium of claim 13, wherein the method further comprises:

providing a result of performing the at least one task to at least one third user participating in the multiparty conversation.

16. The at least one computer-readable medium of claim 13, wherein the method further comprises:

monitoring the multiparty conversation while the multiparty conversation is ongoing; and

in response to detecting a trigger in the multiparty conversation, injecting the at least one virtual agent into the multiparty conversation.

17. The at least one computer-readable medium of claim 16, wherein the trigger comprises an expression designated for invoking the at least one virtual agent.

18. The at least one computer-readable medium of claim 16, wherein the method further comprises:

analyzing at least one portion of the multiparty conversation to identify the first input as being from the first user and the second input as being from the second user.
