Abstract

A mobile device application is described that runs on a mobile device and allows a user to log in to the user'"'"'s account on a presentation server. The user can download previously stored presentations to the local memory of the mobile device to make an in-person offline presentation from the mobile device. While the user is making the presentation, the mobile device application tracks analytic data pertaining to the slide presentation, such as how long each slide is open and viewed. This analytic data is uploaded to the server when an internet connection is available for integration with other data tracked for the presentation.

Claims

1. A computer-implemented method of presenting a presentation from a mobile device, the method comprising:

causing to be displayed one or more selected slides from a first presentation stored in a memory of the mobile device responsive to a presenter'"'"'s request;

tracking slide access data until an end of the first presentation is detected;

upon detecting an internet connection, uploading the slide access data to a presentation server.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

upon receiving log-in information from a presenter for a presenter'"'"'s account at the presentation server, logging the presenter in to the presentation server;

downloading to the memory of the mobile device the first presentation from the presentation server.

3. The method of claim 2, further comprising:

downloading a second presentation from the presentation server to the memory;

causing to be displayed one or more selected slides from the second presentation.

4. The method of claim 2, further comprising permitting access to the first presentation on the mobile device only upon receiving a pre-designated access code for the first presentation.

5. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

upon detecting the end of the first presentation, prompting the presenter to enter a pitch recap;

upon detecting an internet connection, uploading the pitch recap to the presentation server.

6. The method of claim 5, further comprising causing to be displayed a menu bar including an end presentation icon, wherein detection of the end of the first presentation comprises detection of a selection of the end presentation icon.

7. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

communicating with the mobile device during the presentation to receive touch screen input;

adjusting a display responsive to the touch screen input.

8. The method of claim 7, wherein the touch screen input comprises a marker gesture and a location of the marker gesture on a screen of the mobile device, and further wherein adjusting the display comprises providing a marker on the display at the location of the marker gesture.

9. The method of claim 7, wherein the touch screen input comprises a menu bar manipulation gesture, and further wherein adjusting the display comprises displaying or removing a menu bar.

10. The method of claim 7, wherein the touch screen input comprises a next slide gesture, and further wherein adjusting the display comprises displaying a next slide in the first presentation.

11. The method of claim 7, wherein the touch screen input comprises a previous slide gesture, and further wherein adjusting the display comprises displaying a previous slide in the first presentation.

12. The method of claim 1, further comprising automatically synchronizing presentations stored in the memory of the mobile device with presentations associated with the presenter'"'"'s account at the presentation server, when a connection is available between the mobile device and the presentation server.

13. The method of claim 1, further comprising providing a preview of selected slides for the first presentation.

14. The method of claim 1, wherein slide access data include a total amount of time each slide from the first presentation.

15. A system, comprising:

a display module configured to cause to be displayed one or more selected slides from a first presentation stored in a memory of a mobile device responsive to a user'"'"'s request;

a tracking module configured to track slide access data until an end of the first presentation is detected;

an upload module configured to upload the slide access data to a presentation server, upon detecting an internet connection.

16. The system of claim 15, further comprising:

a login module configured to log the user in to the presentation server, upon receiving log-in information from the user for the user'"'"'s account at the presentation server;

a download module configured to download to the memory of the mobile device the first presentation from the presentation server.

17. The system of claim 15, further comprising:

a control module configured to prompt the user to enter a pitch recap, upon detecting the end of the first presentation,

the upload module further configured to upload the pitch recap to the presentation server, upon detecting the internet connection.

18. The system of claim 15, further comprising:

an input module configured to communicate with the mobile device during the presentation to receive touch screen input;

a display module configured to adjust a display responsive to the touch screen input.

19. A non-transitory storage medium storing instructions which when executed by a mobile device processor, cause the mobile device processor to:

cause to be displayed one or more selected slides from a first presentation stored in a memory of the mobile device responsive to a presenter'"'"'s request;

track slide access data until an end of the first presentation is detected;

upon detecting an internet connection, upload the slide access data to a presentation server.

20. The non-transitory storage medium of claim 19, further causing the mobile device processor to:

upon receiving log-in information from a presenter for a presenter'"'"'s account at the presentation server, log the presenter in to the presentation server;

download to the memory of the mobile device the first presentation from the presentation server.

21. The non-transitory storage medium of claim 19, further causing the mobile device processor to:

upon detecting the end of the first presentation, prompting the presenter to enter a pitch recap;

upon detecting an internet connection, uploading the pitch recap to the presentation server.
