Abstract

An information display device includes a device body, a display section that displays information, a motion detection sensor provided in the device body, an information acquiring section that acquires a plurality of types of information, an action detection section that detects a predetermined action of a user from output data of the sensor, and a display control section that selectively displays, in the display section, the plurality of types of information acquired by the information acquiring section in a set order every time the action detection section detects the predetermined action of the user.

Claims

1. An information display device comprising:

a device body;

a display section configured to display information;

a motion detection sensor provided in the device body;

an information acquiring section configured to acquire a plurality of types of information;

an action detection section configured to detect a predetermined action of a user from output data of the motion detection sensor; and

a display control section configured to selectively display, in the display section, the plurality of types of information acquired by the information acquiring section, in a set order, every time the action detection section detects the predetermined action of the user.

2. The information display device according to claim 1, further comprising:

a state determining section configured to determine a state of the user from the output data of the motion detection sensor, wherein

the display control section selectively displays the plurality of types of information acquired by the information acquiring section in an order set corresponding to the state of the user determined by the state determining section, every time the action detection section detects the predetermined action of the user.

3. The information display device according to claim 2, further comprising:

a state table configured to associate in advance output data of the motion detection sensor obtained by an actual motion of the user in a daily life with a state of the user when the user is making the motion, and to store the output data and the state, wherein

the state determining section determines a state of the user from the output data of the motion detection sensor with reference to the state table.

4. The information display device according to claim 3, further comprising:

a priority setting section configured to set a priority of the information according to a state of the user, wherein

the display control section selectively displays the plurality of types of information in order of the priority set by the priority setting section.

5. The information display device according to claim 4, wherein the device body is in a shape of a watch so as to be attached to a wrist of the user, and

the information acquiring section acquires various types of information by short-distance wireless communication from a mobile terminal in the proximity of the device body while the device body is being attached to the wrist of the user.

6. An information display system comprising:

a body-worn device; and

an electronic device,

wherein the body-worn device includes;

a device body;

a display section;

a motion detection sensor provided in the device body;

an information acquiring section configured to acquire a plurality of types of information from the electronic device;

an action detection section configured to detect a predetermined action of a user from output data of the motion detection sensor; and

a display control section configured to selectively display, in the display section, the plurality of types of information acquired by the information acquiring section, in a set order, every time the action detection section detects the predetermined action of the user, and

the electronic device includes;

an information providing section configured to acquire information from a server storing information for the body-worn device and to output the acquired information to the body-worn device.

7. The information display system according to claim 6, wherein

the electronic device includes a determination section configured to determine a type of information to be output to the body-worn device, and

the information providing section acquires the determined type of information from the server and outputs the acquired information to the body-worn device.

8. The information display system according to claim 7, wherein

the information providing section of the electronic device acquires information by periodically accessing the server, and

the information acquiring section of the body-worn device determines at regular intervals whether communication is possible with the electronic device, and acquires information from the electronic device in a case where communication is possible.

9. The information display system according to claim 8, wherein the electronic device includes:

an order setting section configured to set an order of information to be displayed in the body-worn device; and

an output section configured to output data on the set display order to the body-worn device.

10. The information display system according to claim 9, wherein the body-worn device and the electronic device each include a short-distance wireless communication section for data communication between the body-worn device and the electronic device.

11. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program to be executed by a computer installed in an electronic device including a motion detection sensor and a display section, the program causing the computer to carry out the functions of:

acquiring a plurality of types of information;

detecting a predetermined action of a user from output data of the motion detection sensor; and

controlling display so that the plurality of types of information acquired by the information acquiring function is selectively displayed in the display section in a set order every time the action detecting function detects the predetermined action of the user.

12. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 11, wherein

the program further causes the computer to carry out a function of determining a state of the user from the output data of the motion detection sensor, and

the display controlling function selectively displays the plurality of types of information acquired by the information acquiring function in an order set corresponding to the state of the user determined by the state determining function, every time the action detecting function detects the predetermined action of the user.

13. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 12, wherein

the program further causes the computer to carry out a function of generating a state table storing in advance a correlation of output data of the motion detection sensor obtained by an actual motion of the user in a daily life and a state of the user when the user is making the motion, and storing the table into a memory, and

the state determining function determines a state of the user from the output data of the motion detection sensor with reference to the state table.

14. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 13, wherein

the program further causes the computer to carry out a function of setting a priority of information according to a state of the user, and

the display controlling function selectively displays the plurality of types of information in order of the priority set by the priority setting function.

15. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 14, wherein

the electronic device is in a shape of a watch so as to be attached to a wrist of the user, and

the information acquiring function acquires various types of information by short-distance wireless communication from a mobile terminal in the proximity of the device body while the electronic device is being attached to the wrist of the user.
