Abstract

A system for configuring a UE-AMBR includes a MME to send the UE-AMBR to an eNB covering the serving cell of the UE, the eNB covering the serving cell of the UE establishes a radio access bearer of the UE on at least one secondary cell. The MME sends an AMBR of the UE in the primary eNB covering the serving cell of the UE and an AMBR of the UE in a secondary eNB to the primary eNB. The primary eNB sends the AMBR of the secondary eNB to the corresponding secondary eNB. The technical solutions of the present disclosure can make total rate of all non-GBR services of the UE be not larger than the UE-AMBR when the UE has multiple S1 bearers or one S1 bearer.

Claims

1. A method for configuring an Aggregate Maximum Bit Rate (AMBR) of a UE (UE-AMBR), comprising:

sending, by a Mobility Management Entity (MME), the UE-AMBR to a primary eNB covering a primary cell of the UE;

establishing, by the primary eNB, a radio access bearer of the UE on at least one secondary cell;

sending, by the MME, an AMBR used in the primary eNB and an AMBR used in an secondary eNB covering a secondary cell of the UE, to the primary eNB; and

sending, by the primary eNB, the AMBR used in the secondary eNB of the UE to the secondary eNB.

2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the AMBRs used in each eNB are carried in a UE context modification request message or other message to the primary eNB.

3. The method according to claim 2, wherein the UE context modification request message carries either:

the identity of the primary eNB, the AMBR used in the primary eNB, the identity of the secondary eNB, the AMBR used in the eNB covering the secondary cell of the UE,

or the identity of the secondary eNB, the AMBR used in the secondary eNB,

or a AMBR sequence, wherein a first AMBR in the AMBR sequence denotes the AMBR used in the eNB covering the primary cell of the UE, a ith AMBR in the AMBR sequence denotes the AMBR used in the eNB covering a (i−

1)th secondary cell of the UE, where i is an integer ranging from 2 to N, N being the total number of secondary cells.

4. A method for configuring an Aggregate Maximum Bit Rate (AMBR) of a UE (UE-AMBR), comprising:

sending, by a Mobility Management Entity (MME), the UE-AMBR to an primary eNB covering a primary cell of the UE;

sending, by the primary eNB, a request for establishing a radio access bearer of the UE on at least one secondary cell to the MME;

establishing, by the MME, the radio access bearer of the UE on at least one secondary cell;

sending, by the MME, a AMBR used in a corresponding eNB covering a secondary cell to the corresponding secondary eNB covering the secondary cell;

sending, by the MME, an AMBR used in the primary eNB and carried in a UE context modification request message, to the primary eNB; and

sending, by the primary eNB, a UE context modification response message to the MME.

5. The method according to claim 4, wherein the AMBR used in the corresponding secondary eNB is carried in a secondary cell set up request message.

6. A method for configuring an Aggregate Maximum Bit Rate (AMBR) of a UE (UE-AMBR), comprising:

sending, by a Mobility Management Entity (MME), the UE-AMBR to an primary eNB covering the primary cell of the UE;

establishing, by the primary eNB, a radio bearer of the UE on at least one secondary cell;

determining, by the primary eNB, an AMBR used in an secondary eNB covering a secondary cell; and

sending, by the primary eNB, the corresponding AMBR to the secondary eNB.

7. The method according to claim 6, wherein sending, by the primary eNB, the corresponding AMBR to the secondary eNB comprises:

sending, by the primary eNB, the corresponding AMBR carried in a secondary cell set up request message to the secondary eNB.

8. A method for configuring an Aggregate Maximum Bit Rate (AMBR) of a UE, UE-AMBR, comprising:

sending, by a Mobility Management Entity (MME), the UE-AMBR to a primary eNB covering the primary cell of the UE;

sending, by the eNB covering the primary cell of the UE, a request for establishing a radio access bearer of the UE on at least one secondary cell to the MME;

sending, by the eNB covering the primary cell of the UE, an AMBR used in an secondary eNB covering a secondary cell to the MME; and

establishing, by the MME, the radio access bearer of the UE on at least one secondary cell, and sending, by the MME, the AMBR used in the secondary eNB to the corresponding secondary eNB.

9. The method according to claim 8;

wherein sending, by the primary eNB, the AMBR used in an secondary eNB covering a secondary cell to the MME comprises;

sending, by the primary eNB, the AMBR used in the secondary eNB, and carried in a secondary cell set up request message to the MME.

10. A method for configuring an Aggregate Maximum Bit Rate (AMBR) of a UE (UE-AMBR), comprising:

receiving, by an primary eNB covering the primary cell of the UE, a LTE radio access bearer, E-RAB, a set up request from a Mobility Management Entity (MME); and

establishing, by the primary eNB, all non-Guaranteed Bit Rate (GBR) services on a first eNB, and sending, by the eNB covering the primary cell of the UE, a UE-AMBR to the first eNB.

11. A system for configuring an Aggregate Maximum Bit Rate (AMBR) of a UE (UE-AMBR), the system comprising:

a Mobility Management Entity (MME) configured to send the UE-AMBR to a primary eNB covering a primary cell of the UE;

the primary eNB configured to establish a radio access bearer of the UE on at least one secondary cell,

wherein the MME is further configured to send an AMBR used in the primary eNB and an AMBR used in an secondary eNB covering a secondary cell of the UE, to the primary eNB, and

wherein the primary eNB is further configured to send the AMBR used in the secondary eNB of the UE to the corresponding secondary eNB.

12. The system according to claim 11, wherein the AMBRs used in each eNB are carried in a UE context modification request message or other message to the primary eNB.

13. The system according to claim 12, wherein the UE context modification request message carries either:

the identity of the primary eNB, the AMBR used in the primary eNB, the identity of the secondary eNB, the AMBR used in the eNB covering the secondary cell of the UE,

or the identity of the secondary eNB, the AMBR used in the secondary eNB,

or a AMBR sequence, wherein a first AMBR in the AMBR sequence denotes the AMBR used in the eNB covering the primary cell of the UE, a ith AMBR in the AMBR sequence denotes the AMBR used in the eNB covering a (i−

1)th secondary cell of the UE, where i is an integer ranging from 2 to N, N being the total number of secondary cells.

14. A system for configuring an Aggregate Maximum Bit Rate (AMBR) of a UE (UE-AMBR), comprising:

a Mobility Management Entity (MME) configured to send the UE-AMBR to an primary eNB covering a primary cell of the UE;

the primary eNB configure to send a request for establishing a radio access bearer of the UE on at least one secondary cell to the MME; and

wherein the MME is configured to establish the radio access bearer of the UE on at least one secondary cell, send a AMBR used in a secondary eNB covering a secondary cell to the corresponding secondary eNB covering the secondary cell, and send an AMBR used in the primary eNB and carried in a UE context modification request message, to the primary eNB, and

wherein the primary eNB is configured to send a UE context modification response message to the MME.

15. The system according to claim 14, wherein the AMBR used in the corresponding secondary eNB is carried in a secondary cell set up request message to the corresponding secondary eNB.

16. An eNB for configuring an Aggregate Maximum Bit Rate (AMBR) of a UE (UE-AMBR), the eNB configured to:

receive the UE-AMBR to the eNB covering a primary cell of the UE from a Mobility Management Entity (MME);

establish a radio bearer of the UE on at least one secondary cell;

determine an AMBR used in an secondary eNB covering a secondary cell; and

send the corresponding AMBR to the secondary eNB.

17. The eNB according to claim 16, wherein the primary eNB is configured to send the corresponding AMBR carried in a secondary cell set up request message to the secondary eNB.

18. A system for configuring an Aggregate Maximum Bit Rate (AMBR) of a UE, UE-AMBR, comprising:

a Mobility Management Entity (MME) configured to send the UE-AMBR to a primary eNB covering the primary cell of the UE; and

the primary eNB is configured to send a request for establishing a radio access bearer of the UE on at least one secondary cell to the MME, and send an AMBR used in an secondary eNB covering a secondary cell to the MME,

wherein the MME is established the radio access bearer of the UE on at least one secondary cell, and send the AMBR used in the secondary eNB to the corresponding secondary eNB.

19. The system according to claim 18, wherein the AMBR used in the secondary eNB is carried in a secondary cell set up request message to the MME.

20. An eNB for configuring an Aggregate Maximum Bit Rate (AMBR) of a UE (UE-AMBR), the eNB covering the primary cell of the UE, the eNB configured to:

receive a LTE radio access bearer (E-RAB), a set up request from a Mobility Management Entity (MME); and

establish all non-Guaranteed Bit Rate (GBR) services on a first eNB, and send a UE-AMBR to the first eNB.
